  1. Yeah, discluding the low blows he dealt us when he signed with the Mets, he ahs been the gratest pitcher I have seen in my tenure as a Sox fan.
  2. Whoa, I just woke up, I totally forgot the game was at 11
  3. Yeah, Clement's whole rap is that he can't put together a whole season, and that he can't command those nasty pitches. If he ahd control, we'd have a quatro of all-star pitchers in our rotation and 4 potential aces. Beckett is considered worlds beyond him because he has the right mental state, has the same if not a little better stuff and he can CONTROL it. So he ahs 2 pieces Clement doesn't.
  4. good pitching beats good hitting btw, why do you still have Pedro ina Yankee uniform as your avatar?
  5. Its too early in Wang' career to peg him as anything, he could end up being average-worse or good-great. Same goes wiith anyone his age.
  6. yea, as much as i love winning these closegames, I'd like to get this offense goin. I mean last yearw e hit in like 6 runs a game, I mean that, combined with our pitching will be deadly, there's always one thing wrong with the Sox every year. once offense, anotehr defense, and last year pitching.
  7. DC made me a bit nervous with his performance last year and this ST, but I'm sure he'll work it out. Ellsbury should do fine, but yeah he's nothing vlose to sure. However he'd be a good compliment to Coco and Wily-Mo if he does get big.
  8. Sounds like another Hansen situation to me, I'll take him.
  9. ksushi, there's no point into buying into 700's crap, I think I'd bank on Theo's trying to keep him over the years (besides ARod trade), his Baseball America top 30 ranking, and being dubbed one of baseball's future top lefties. If he's in AAA, i doubt he'd be 2-3 years away, if he had so much to work on, he'd be in AA still. One start, and your disliking of one ST outing means nothing, who knows, maybe he as trying to work on a new pitch, and since your not any type of scout you'll never know.
  10. Our pitching is actually pretty deep, and will be even deeper in years to come. What we needed was some more power for this new lineup, and we got it in Wily-Mo. trade what you have for what you need.
  11. Then I ahve no idea here I've heard that stat from.
  12. Yeah, I myself have made that comparison, and I truley belive it is accurate. I mean both are crafty, except Lenny is a lefty. He's earned this start, and I'll be lookin foward to watchin it.
  13. I think Beckett was gunna, but decided not to, otehr than that it's kind of been unoffically-retired, mostly because otehr players don't want the expectations that come with that number.
  14. greatest movie ever
  15. I'm not sayin he would, but it wouldn't suprise me if he did something stupid like that.
  16. Clemens would be a humungous help for us, and give us an ever better chance of re-taking the AL East throne, I mean him, Beckett and Schilling would make one of the greatest 1-2-3's in the history of the game.
  17. The problem with me n Wells is I believe he'd do somethin cheap like blow a game, which botehrs me
  18. yea, heeard that stat on ESPN.
  19. He, along with Delcarmen, and Hansen should be our bullpen's foundation as Bekcett, lester, and Papelbon stack up the rotation.
  20. I guess he wasn't Bullshittin when he said he's felt as good as he ever has before. If he keeps it up, he'll be the only guy who's 38+ with 20 wins or more.
  21. wow, we'e gettin absolutely no love from ESPN. We were 6th last week now we're 7th, meanhile the yankees are 4th without showing anything substantial to that they are a dominant team. Not a big deal, just dissapointing.
  22. Man, the look in papelbon's eyes is wicked reassuring. He just looks plain mean and like "I'm gunna knock ur ass to the floor" type thing, ice water in his veins man, ice water.
  23. Maybe his average will go down, like last year but no worries, he is the best right-hitting batter in the AL, if your gunna worry about anyone it's not Manny. He'll still give you near 40/120
  24. i swear to god he couldnt be more like pedro serrano from Major League
