  1. Being booed at home is much worse than being booed on the road. At least on the road it can pump you up. When your home crowd is booing you it makes you press and want to impress them, and it would make me feel like s*** to boot. On the road you can just say, "fudge 'em" and move on.
  2. Yeah well I'd agree with that considering on the YES broadcast they zoomed in on Arod after his at bat and he was banging his bat against the bat holder and he couldn't get it into one of the holes and he just kept hitting it and hitting it. I've definitely had bad days when things just mount and explode in one stupid instance, like I can't get the key into the door so i just keep jabbing and jabbing to no avail. You can really tell that Arod is getting super frustrated and it's going to be a vicious cycle. Arod can't hit and then he gets booed, Arod gets booed and then he can't hit.
  3. Yeah ha gotta love Jeter's reaction to it. Very nice, good win.
  4. The announcers think so. Something about the way he released that ball, I don't know I have no idea about arm angle and release point.
  5. See I think that Jeter not defending him does show there is some sort of a rift. You have gotta believe that if the Sox were bashing Bernie that every single person on the Yankees would be defending him. That's more of a true yankee vs. new yankee rift, but one's there nonetheless.
  6. I just got back from the game. My first time in the bleachers and I get a ball and a wave out of Ron Guidry. Very nice, made my day before the game began. Awesome game, but what did the announcers say about Farnsworth coming in? Doesn't the guy need a break?
  7. Yeah same here. He's going to be signing something in Jersey the 22nd I believe. Just PM me if you are in Jersey and want more info. That goes for all you Yankee fans.
  8. Alright now the injuries are really starting to irk me. A new injury everyday became almost comical but when I heard the other day that GIAMBI might also be hurt I almost s*** a pickle. Honestly, without Matsui and Sheff the Yanks have enough problems. Throw in a s***** BP that just cannot seem to get the job done and a less than impressive Randy Johnson (or should I say starting rotation) and you've got yourself some issues. I just seriously hope the Yanks can keep it together until Sept when (hopefully) Sheff and Matsui are back, rested, and ready to lead the Yanks to a division title. If this team can pull that much out of their ass I'll be impressed. The baby bombers are cute and cuddly but the Yanks need some more strong arms and Sheff and Matsui back ASAP, whether that is at the expense of seeing Andy Phillips everyday or not. Something has got to change. Ok sorry for the rant just had to get that out.
  9. Damn it I went all the way to the Bronx for nothing. And because they will probably resched the game for Sept 15-17 I wont be able to go because I'll be up in Beantown. Just my luck honestly.
  10. Number 1 webgem: Melky Cabrera. Game saver right thurrr
  11. Nice read. Welcome to the life of a Yankee fan fellas. But hey, who am I to judge how hardcore, faithful, or loyal a fan is? You show your love for a team casually or a bit more wholeheartedly, but in the end the fan support (bandwagon fan or not) is good for baseball, and if it's good for baseball it's good for me.
  12. True, but last year I went to a game and had seats three rows behind the Red Sox dugout. So there may not be such a thing as a s*** seat but there are fantastic ones.
  13. Same here. I have s*** seats though.
  14. That was a heart stopper. Poor Pauley's reaction though dampened my celebrations. Oh well, if he continues to pitch like that he will more than make up for it. Great game. I'll be there tomorrow and I'd like to see the same turnout...that is if the rain doesn't get in the way.
  15. Well it was because it was Bernie. The guy could get a standing O for doing anything nowadays.
  16. haha I liked Johnny Damon's reaction
  17. Holy s***, holy s***, holy s***.
  18. Wait I just got home and I am very surprised at the score. Definitely would have thought both teams would have more runs.
  19. Long goes down, Green comes up.
  20. Yes sir. Boston University, only a hop, skip and a step away from Fenway. Joy.
  21. ughhhh i knew Moose would be rusty. I always get nervous with these big leads and the opposing team being one that can hit.
  22. I feel bad for cringing in the 2nd when the Sox scored 2.
  23. Still the third inning guys. Guess I'm just about the only one who still thinks the Sox have a chance. I seriously hope Moose isn't terrible rusty after sitting now for two long innings.
  24. Because the Red Sox can score a lot of runs. Moose has been sitting forever so he may be rusty now. It's also only the second inning, not the 6th and the score being 10-4 like it was yesterday.
  25. The Sox can still definitely come back. I'm not ready to relax yet. It's never this easy with Yankees/Red Sox, let's just see how it unfolds this time...
