  1. I'll be at the game tonight and I'm really not in the mood to be at another game where the Yanks fall to the Angels.
  2. Yucky. I was at this game and it was pretty bad to sit through. Leave it up to drunk Yankee fans though to get into fights to amuse the rest of us.
  3. Totally random, but this is what Giambi thinks of the shift. Hah http://blognyc.net/images/giambi-003-thumb.jpg link
  4. Derek Jeter for MVP.
  5. Haha can't argue that. He's just so loveable, gotta love that.
  6. Are you kidding I love him! I met him and have a picture with him and a signed picture. I'm a Melky groupie.
  7. Whoa talk about getting home at a good time. I turn on the tv and see MELKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooooooo
  8. Ahh I was in Little Italy watching the game. Absolutely amazing.
  9. I'm going to Little Italy today to root for Italia! So excited
  10. Woo hoo met Melky and Bubba today! I wish I could have told them great game....
  11. Hey, there's nothing wrong with a little wishful thinking
  12. Yeah hopefully when those two return they will be rested and ready for the stretch. Like I've said before, as long as the Yanks keep it close once those guys come back they will be in serious contention to take first in the AL East.
  13. Hah imagine Bernie had that day in Yankee Stadium. You could add on about 2 extra minutes for the curtain calls.
  14. Woo hoo! Go Mo, go Mo. Ishya birthday, ishya birthday.
  15. Gotta love Bernie.
  16. Yeah omg thats so totally a good reason to hate the Yankees! The nerve! An entire baseball team looking professional and presentable, to think. Damn I hate everyone in this world who doesn't look like a caveman. In all seriousness, that's a pretty lame reason to hate the Yankees.
  17. I kind of agree with it the way you had it first, well I do and I don't. The stereotype is that Sox fans hate the Yankees more than the other way around, making it fitting that while Yankee fans hate some aspects of the Red Sox, the Red Sox fans just hate everything Yankees. And while a700hitter is the epitome of this stereotype, I realize that it is just that, a stereotype. (Damn do you think I could have used the word stereotype again?)
  18. What don't you get? And yeah you are pretty much right Red. Speaking of Red Ruffing, they were talking about him on the YES Network broadcast, I dunno if you caught that.
  19. Now that sucked.
  20. I guess I underestimate exactly just how much energy Red Sox fans exert on hating the Yankees. Oh well. Well I didn't realize that Varitek felt bad about the fight at all. So that's my bad, and I just said the second person to come into my mind because I wanted to list a couple players, not realizing the only player on the Sox I have any reason to dislike is Schilling. But just like you don't understand how he could be considered trash (and he's not, I'll take back what I said I was wrong), I don't understand how anyone could call everything Yankees trash. Don't try to explain it, I will never understand why someone can't just appreciate and respect an organization. It's plain ignorant. And that was a pretty good post, HeadOfSoxNation
  21. So if it's not cool to call 1 player trash, what's your opinion on calling everything Yankees, or any organization for that matter, trash? Just illustrating my point. Don't let your blind hatred for a team make you seem like a 7 year old sore loser who has his panties in a twist. (not directed at you kilo)
  22. There is emotion in baseball. I felt bad for Wakefield after the Boone thing, and I felt even worse because he was such a stand-up guy. I'm gonna ignore the post trying to relate Wang to Schilling because last time I checked Schilling isn't someone to feel bad for. He runs his mouth in the media and has two rings on his finger. Wang is classy. He takes the mound every 5th day and does the best he can. He's a newbie who has been nothing but great for the ballclub and just wants to get the taste of victory. I don't understand your lack of empathy. And you need to stop being so ignorant. I'm on the other side of this rivalry, but I don't call everything Red Sox trash. Schilling is trash. Varitek is trash. But Wakefield, he's not trash. Neither is Papelbon or Ortiz. But hey, I guess you have a right to your own opinions, however close-minded they may be.
  23. Hmm well I guess pitching an almost complete game and pitching brilliantly the entire time and only being out there that long because your three late inning guys aren't available and Villone has the black plague leaves nothing to feel sorry about. Come on man, do you have any emotions or is your heart one big rock. I think I'll start calling you the Grinch from now on. And what is this Yankee trash business? Wang = trash? Bernie = trash? Come on buddy get a freakin clue.
  24. BRACKET ONE Babe Ruth (New York Yankees) vs Mickey Mantle (New York Yankees) BRACKET TWO Ty Cobb (Detroit Tigers) vs Willie Mays (San Francisco Giants) BRACKET THREE Ted Williams (Boston Red Sox) vs Stan Musial (St. Louis Cardinals) BRACKET FOUR Pete Rose (Cincinnati Reds) vs Manny Ramirez (Boston Red Sox)
  25. Damn well when it rains it pours. Arod is obviously an emotional guy, but I don't know why he hasn't busted out of this thing yet. Maybe everything is just getting to him, and by everything I mean all the criticism he has heard is starting to get into his head. He knows he is hated and he knows more people are rooting for him to fail than succeed, but he needs to see two therapists if needed and say "f*** it" to everyone. Loosen up my man.
