  1. double by "Alexander The Great" 3-0 Yankees.
  2. what was the bet?
  3. and they are starting the game yet again. It looks like late night Yankees baseball.
  4. Chacon/Wright. Small is pitching on Thursday.
  5. The fact that he has only thrown 2 innings and hes fresh out of college makes him iffy. You can not seriously be counting on this kid to be like K-Rod in 2002. Sure he will be great in the future but does that mean he will be great now?
  6. and the tarp is coming out again. They really f***ed up. Why start the game if it was going to rain like this?
  7. Its really coming down hard in Baltimore as they play. You have to wonder why they started this game like that. They have to see a window in which they can get this game in.
  8. Hansen is iffy. He looked good one day and bad the next. It should be intresting to see how Terry uses him. His best pitch is his slider and he hasnt thrown it yet which makes me wonder. You guys have to remember he is fresh out of college. You cant expect a K-Rod like rest of the season. Papelbon might be better then Sturtze. Hes had an up and down year. The first part of the year he looked great then due to over use he lost velocity. Over his last 6 outtings the velocity is back and hes pitching better. The bottomline is both teams NEED their starts to get them deep into the game.
  9. According to ESPNEWS. Tough break for the Jets. With Fiedler down they will be lucky to finish above .500. Jets need to start looking for a new QB in the off-season because the next time he finishes a full season it will be his first time.
  10. Well as I said, games against the O's are very important but they have NO comparison to games against the Yankees. It should be intresting. Paplebon is a good pitcher so I dont expect him to crumble under the pressure.
  11. No one in the NFC is as good as the Eagles. Yankhater is right...they will be in the super bowl.
  12. Quick question guys....what does this do for your roation this weekend? Move Wakefield up to Saturday and pitch Schilling on Sunday? I figure that because Wakefield can pitch on shorter rest.
  13. They are taking the tarp off at Camden yards so they will play.
  14. intresting because I dont recall saying he will get smacked around. Are you telling me there are NO questions about him and he is better then Tom Gordon? This weekend will be the most pressure Paplebon has ever faced. You cant just call him a given. It would be like me calling Chien Ming Wang a given on Friday. Do I have confidence in Wang? Yeah but I dont know for sure how he will do.
  15. I'm not sure if this is true but I was told that the Red Sox game has been postponed.
  16. Both pens arent good. At the end of the day I think I'll take my chances with guys like Mariano Rivera, Tom Gordon and Tanyon Sturtze(Who has looked better of late) over Mike Timlin, Paplebon(the next big game he pitches in will be his first) and Hansen (read what I said about Paplebon). There isnt alot of depth in either. I think it will come down to which teams starters will be able to get them to the 7th or 8th innings of the game.
  17. Its currently raining in baltimore. They should get the game in but it might start later.
  18. Yeah, just nasty injuries. I still think the Pats hold the most important edge on all of the teams in the AFC. Thats the mental edge. After last year I doubt either the Steelers and the Colts could beat the Pats in a big spot. Yesterday the Pats took away "Fast" Willie Parker and forced Big Ben to try and win the game and he couldnt.
  19. The Harrison injury was the worst one I've seen in awhile. But you are right. The Willis torn ACL was the worst one ever. His leg looked like it wasnt attached for a second.
  20. That was a nasty injury. It reminded me of the Willis Mcgahee torn ACL in the Fiesta Bowl a couple of years ago.
  21. lol yeah. I can deal with an ump that is consistant with the way he calls the game. But its when the plate gets smaller and then bigger all of a sudden. Thats what pissses me off sometimes.
  22. that was about 2 feet off the plate. As I said before the plate has expanded this year.
  23. Good call by Torre. Rivera for 4 outs. Not taking ANY chances.
