  1. Yeah I remember Chacon threw a shutout against them at US Cellular.
  2. hahaha I remeber that. He kept calling Bronson Arroyo, Brandon Arroyo.
  3. Yeah I hear ya. The offeciating all year long has been poor so I guess it was fitting (sadly) that the Super Bowl would be marred by the poor officiating.
  4. The Ref were brutal but did Jerremy Stevens have to drop almost every pass that was thrown to him? Did Matt Hasselbeck have to throw a pick after the holding call? Did the Seattle defense have to give up a 76 yard TD run? Did they have to be so disorganized at the end of each halfs? Seattle shouldnt point the finger at the refs. Point it at themselves.
  5. ASB was awsome. I also had all of the games.
  6. I doubt he would get it but what I said was he would be looking for a contract similar to it.
  7. If Lee has the same kind of year he had last season I could easily see him looking for a contract like the one Pujols got. (It was something like 7 years for 100 mill).
  8. not really a big deal, just trade for him in the game or if you have online mode for your system you can just download the updated rosters which should be out by then.
  9. Steelers 24 Seahawks 17
  10. I just joined
  11. That trade is still a little unclear to me. I have heard 3 different reports. 1. The pick is lottery protected. 2. The pick is NOT lottery protected. 3. Its a different teams pick not the Raptors. Can someone clear this up?
  12. Yeah Norm Chow is an excellent OC, I think they would work well together. I'm a big Leinert fan so if he were to ever slip to the Titans I'd be very happy. The Titans situation would also be good for him because his former OC from USC is the OC for the Titans as well. (Norm Chow). Leinert is perfect for a team that just needs a QB for the final piece. The Siants while its not the ideal situation they do have offensive wepons (McCallister, Horn, Stallworth) that he could work with and be effective pretty soon.
  13. I agree 100%. I've watched Vince for awhile and he is a project on the next level. I do however like the Tennessee situation for him. He can learn from his mentor and the same guy who also needed major work. Plus McNair while not in his prime anymore can still start for atleast 2 more seasons because the Titans are pretty much going nowhere with that very young team. I really like Youngs leadership ability. While things like him rushing for 250 yards and throwing for 250 yards wont happen on the next level his leadership ability will translate. You saw how he took that team on his back(in the rose bowl) and he wasnt afraid to go out and win the game rather then not to lose it.
  14. I'm a Titans fan. There is no chance Vince Young slips past them at 3 unless a team offers them a great trade for that #3 pick.
  15. I agree, the example I like to use is Kyle Bollar. Everyone loved Bollar because he could do things like throw a ball 50 yards from his knees ETC. But when hes gotten on the field hes stunk. Give me the guy like Matt Lienert who might not have the greatest arm but has the touch, leadership and intangbles. With that said.....wait untill the combine and watch Cutler do some amazing stuff. The scouts will go nuts and he will shoot up and be a top 5-10 pick.
  16. Thats why I was . No matter what Giambi does that stigma of steroids will follow him forever and I have no problem with it as long as he proforms.
  17. lol very true but I didnt make the arguement that he was the best. The best Yankee lineup might be one with Jeter hitting 1 and Damon 2.
  18. He never tested positive for them
  19. I dont think Ichrio is the best lead off hitter in the game. He only had a 350 OBP last season and he doesnt walk much anyway. I love how he handels the bat but the best leadoff hitter in the game last season will prob be the same guy who will be hitting 2nd in the Yankee lineup coming this year. (Jeter's OBP last season .389)
  20. I wasnt comapring there potential effectiveness. I was just talking specifically about Jamal Lewis. OBV they play different sports that require different kinds of ability.
  21. I will say one think about Jamal Lewis. He had his worst year of his career after he had the surgery and there are people in baltimore who dont know if he will ever return to his old form which is why they dont know wheather to give him the tag or not. They certainly wont sign him to a long term deal.
  22. This is a clear example of you just misinterpeting what I said. I never said veloctiy wasnt important. I SAID it wasnt Curts biggest problem. You did accused me of saying it wasnt important. I never posted those words.
  23. IMO Control is the most important think. Just look at Scott Proctor. He throws like 97 MPH. But he cant put the ball where he wants too. Jorge Julio is another one. There are a bunch of examples. I like to use Mike Mussina as an example. He only throws around 88-92 (92 on a good day) but he can put the ball where he wants too. When it comes to velocity its more about changing speeds rather then just rearing back and throwing it by someone.
  24. ORS in his post compared Schilling to Jamal Lewis.
