  1. Does a true captain hit .235?
  2. lmao me too. Vito went out pretty badly didnt he?
  3. I dont need experts to bleed pinstripes for me to agree with them. I agreed with them when they said the Yankees screwed up by passing on Hansen. I agree with you on the kids. They are both 17 years old. There is a ton of baseball ahead of them.
  4. Well clearly Clippard wont be Mussina. I think the guy was comparing his "skill set" to a poor mans Mussina. Again hes a professional I dont think ridiculing was right and I also think in the prosess he insulted Clippard as a prospect. He made him sound like another Colter Bean.
  5. Look under ESPN baseball america chat wrap archives. It was sometime during August of last season. That said while I dont think the entire world hates the Yankees I just find it disrectpectful for people that are supposed to be professionals to say and write things that are biased. I remember last season Jayson Stak called the Yankees garbage pickers for picking up guys like Shawn Chacon. Not only is it disrespectful toward the Yankees but Stark is also calling Chacon garbage. Dayn Perry is another one. He just wrote an article about how Babe Ruth is overrated.
  6. He looked like a special horse. He had triple crown written all over him. A damn shame.
  7. Ditto, they said career ending prob. They have to get the radiographs(acording to the vet after the race) back to see if its life ending. Terrible day at Pimblico.
  8. If you have read his chat wraps or articles over the years you would know what I'm talking about. As a matter a fact about a couple of months ago he got very upset because Yankee fans were bombarding him with questions about Tyler Clippard.
  9. lol it was a pretty uneventful one. Barbero jumped out of the gate and it looked like he hurt itself.
  10. Again I would'nt call him up. Why cant they call him up when the rosters expand and sit him on the bench?
  11. Jim Callis is a noted Yankee hater. Hard for me to rank Solar over any Yankee pitching prospects since this is his first season. So again do the Mets have better depth then the Yankees? This is what the conversation surrounds. BA does not think so. They rank them 28th and the Yankees 17th. EDIT: Preakness time! brb in a couple of minutes
  12. Again I never said bring him up. I did however say if the Yankees wanted to call him up in SEPT after he has those innings logged they could. Hes clearly moving fast and will prob be considered for the roto in 07. 1 slight case of tendinits doesnt concern me.
  13. Tabata>Martinez ask any expert. Talk to me about Humber and his dominence when he recovers from TJ surgery and Solar is 26 years old and shouldnt be considered a prospect. s*** he signed with the Mets in 04 and didnt even pitch last season. Has he even pitched this season?
  14. I said if they wanted too I never said I would. His injury situation has been blow way out of proportion. Hes had one legit injury and that was "slight" tendinits last year. 2 Years ago they shut him down cause he stubbed his toe in a hotel room.
  15. Its about time he gets a shot.
  16. Rivera punished them. What a win.
  17. That ball is cutting today. Rivera has claimed 2 bats in this inning.
  18. Lmao I was thinking the same thing
  19. If the Yankees wanted to they could bring up Hughes by SEPT. Hes a very polished RH and if you read many of the chats that BA has most of those guys feel Hughes is better then Pelfrey. If his point was that the Mets could get someone like Willis with Millidge and Pelfrey yes its true but he said that then took it to another level and said the Mets have better depth then the Yankess. I understand what your saying...that the points are linked. I viewed it as two seperate points with the depth point taking a shot at the Yankee farm system. When you look at it I would take about 4 yankees prospects over the next prospect after Pelfrey.
  20. Bonds has hit #714 guys
  21. Well the Mets only have 2 prospects really. Its Millidge and Pelfrey. Pelfrey is in double A just like Philip Hughes. So really hes only basing the Mets having better depth on Millidge.
  22. I disagree, they have made many remarks about the Yankee payroll. The one thing that pissed me off was when McCarver made refrence to the minor leagues and how the Mets "Have better depth". Just because you have Lastings Millidge it doesnt mean you have better depth. Baseball America ranks the Mets 28th while the Yankees are ranked 17th. Who has better depth?
  23. I think Torre will go with Proctor not Rivera(If the game is tied). We will see.
