  1. I don't have anything to add to this argument, but I had to comment on the fact that the one who started this thread seems to have the least to say...
  2. it's still fun to make fun of the Pinholes for being trash pickers!
  3. i think they wait out by the player "dumpster" to pick up all the trash...lol...trash pickin yanks!
  4. i guess they think that if they get enough of boston's leftovers, they might end up being at least *half* as good...lol...
  5. now THAT is amusing. I dont wear the stuff, but for some reason i finf it highly amusing when other people do...
  6. This is definately something I had not thought of. It will probably double the amount of shirts insulting the Pinholes...so therefore, we have found the silver lining to the cloud! Thank you MC! I still think it's rather silly, but at least we are forced to be more creative in the way we say it... :dunno:
  7. I realize that. I'm simply stating that my opinion of this new rule...is that it's stupid. People should be able to wear what they want. Regardless of however many arguments you throw in here...I'll *still* think it's dumb.
  8. OK, so *vendors* sell it outside. Whatever. You're still at the park, and someone is selling it. The point is...if people want to wear the stuff, they should be allowed to. There shouldn't be a ban on it. It's just plain stupid and unfair.
  9. I myself, don't wear the "Yankees Suck" Apparel. I just don't think it's right to ban it. Each to his own, and people should be able to express themselves that way if they want to , regardless if others like it or don't like it. Unless it's causing violence and mayhem (which I know it sometimes does, but not the majority of the time) then why tell people they can't wear it? Ok, don't sell it *at* the ballpark. That I can understand. But to ban people from wearing it or saying it entirely, when you're at your home ballpark, where you should be able to feel free to dog any other team you want? I think it's dumb. What's next, people won't be able to say they hate the yankees? Or will we just have to sit at the park with our thumbs up our asses saying nothing? Perhaps it seems this may be an extreme way to look at it, but the suppression always starts somewhere, and I'm sure people that make a ritual of wearing it and saying it are feeling this too.
  10. I dont have a solution to offer...but patience doesnt seem like a very good strategy to me. i dont have a magical answer tho, i guess if i did, i'd be the manager instead of terry.....
  11. I agree. even tho i wont miss the strike outs (or him just watching the ball sail over the plate) i always had a soft spot for bellhorn and he did do some good things for the sox.
  12. The whole "Yankees Suck" thing isn't actually about them sucking, as a team, in how they play ball. At least for me it's not. I mean, it's pretty obvious that they are very good team, otherwise, they wouldn't have won as many championships as they have, and they wouldn't be only a game and a half back from tying us for the lead in the AL East. I think it's more about the rivalry, and Boston fans are just ingrained to hate the yankees. It's like traitorism if you don't. I have my own reasons for hating them..(Here's a couple- Jeter's a cocky little bastard and A-Rod's just a flat out douschbag..i have more but i wont turn this into a why do you hate the pinholes thread)they're just a team every boston fan has learned to love to hate. It's just the way it is. Anyone with half a brain can see they dont actually suck on the field. Just because some people are offended with the word "suck" and they think its bad sportmanship...that no reason to take away a tradition that has been in effect for years. I think it's wrong. While I understand why a parent may not want to have their kid hear that while at a family outing to Fenway, on the other hand, a little healthy competition never hurt anybody. It's not like we're chanting swears and saying we want to kill them or anything. We're just saying they suck. I don't see what the big deal is.
  13. But the Yankees do suck! LOL...We should be able to say it and wear it and advertise it. Each to his own I say but it's not fair to not let sox fans voice that opinion in the home ballpark..of all the places to ban it! GGGEEEEEEEZZZ!
  14. Whatever. :thumbdown
  15. Either way..I'm glad I don't have to read it anymore...
  16. I totally agree with this assessment.
  17. OK, OK, if it was only $6 to see the Sox, I would try real hard to get over it.. But it wouldn't be easy....
  18. Hmmm...you do have a point there...but it's such a great park!!! I would really miss it if it was gone..
  19. Thanx for shutting this idiot down. I am getting really tired of hearing posts with him bashing Edgar just to bash him. I'm no stats expert, and I'll never claim to be, but I like Renteria and 22 errors don't mean s*** if you can do what he does when it matters out on that field. Maybe we should let him know that somebody made a thread just to bash Edgar....he can go there... Oh and if you were a true fan you might be unhappy with a player but all this shittalking is highly unneccesary...every player on the team got us to where we are....wait where was that again? OH YEAH...FIRST PLACE! So quit your bitching. *Thanx*
  20. No way! Fenway has WAY too much history to change it after all these years. I don't think there's any way to duplicate the nostalgia that goes along with that stadium...I hope it's there forever....
  21. TOTAL ******** in the 3rd inning...that was a home run...man these umps suck the big one!
  22. Sure, it's helped. But you can't attribute all the success just to that wall! Maybe you are just looking for any reason to bash Edgar...
  23. Let's all hail Ortiz for hitting Rogers with the first ball he hits...ROFL..hothead got what he deserved... I totally agree that it is complete ******** his suspension was lifted. This is basically an open invitation for any player to get pissed off and flip out without having to yeild the consequences. It should come down to the integrity of the sport...and Rogers obviously has none.
  24. Quick inning from Arroyo...his slider must be on tonight. *Boos for Rogers*
