    This bullpen is going to be so nasty this year. Wow, everyone throws 95 plus out there. It seems like we can almost make games 5 inning games, which should allow us to be very successful. I also loved the emotion the sox showed today. This team is going to win back alot of fans by seasons end. In closing, I would be super depressed if I was a Yankees fan. That team is garbage right now, and could be very behind in the standings early.

    I thought Lester looked solid minus the 4th. My only gripe with him is that he seems to fall in love with the cutter in to righties with 2 strikes. It seems like he has trouble putting hitters away with this pitch, lots of foul balls that drives up his pitch count. I would love to see more 4 seam FB on the putter part of the plate to try to conserve more pitches.

    Don't know, but I know that's why they do it for teams like the Red Sox where the opening day demand is really high

    They schedule the off day after because they want to make sure people who purchase opening day tickets get to see the first game of the season if there is a rain out.

    Also, how fun is it going to be to watch Iggy, Middlebrooks and JBJ on the field together. This team should be a breath of fresh air.

    Go Sox! If Lester and Buchholz are really as good as they have looked in Spring training games, then the sox will have one of the best pitching staffs in the ALE. I think eventually they will score enough runs, especially when Big Papi comes back hopefully in 4 weeks.

    I'm secretly dreaming of a 2014 infield of boegarts at third, Iggy at SS, Pedroia at second and Middlebrooks at first.

    What do we do with Stephen Drew? Try to trade him in June for pitching depth perhaps? If the bullpen depth plays out in our favor we could try to package drew and bailey for something decent. What do you guys think... Maybe it's a pipe dream to think Iggy is going to play well, but the kid is swinging a much more confidant stick this spring and his defense is out of this world good. He would really help out the pitching staff.

    I think if Ellsbury has a big year we should throw 6 years and 120 million at him and keep together what could be a very dynamic outfield for the next half decade. Anyone else agree? I also think JBJ should be the opening day left fielder and have johnny Gomes start the season as DH.
