Papelbon is struggling with his control a little bit in this series.

Pedroia is a bellow average ML hitter, and he is not great in the field. Everytime Cora plays positive things happen. He was a very productive player when he played everyday. Face it Crespo Pedroia stinks.

Cora is having a day!!! He should play equal to Pedroia, he is a better hitter and fielder.

Tavarez is pitching really good right now. This is a lot like last september. I hope he keeps it rolling for a least 6-7 today.

Manny is a concern right now, he really sucks. I think Halladay is in shut down mode right now, and we may have trouble scoring a few more runs.

You are wrong on this one Crespo, Varitek is so important to the pitching staff, just looked what happened when he went down last August, everyone sucked. You are right, that pitchers have to pitch but it helps when your catcher knows the hitters so well.

Cantu had a great year in 05 and put up ok numbers in limited action due to an injury that he sustained early last season. Maybe he is struggling at AAA because he doesnt want to be their and is unhappy. It happens to players when they are demotted.

Maybe you are right, at least Lorreta had a track record. Pedroia has a power hitters swing and he is not a power hitter, thats the problem I see with him.

Excellent work by Wake tonight. If he pitches as well as he did in 05, then our rotation will be the best in baseball.

Lester to start season on DL

Lester will make one more start in single A on the 25th, then throw a side Session in Boston, and make one start in Pawtucket. If all goes well then he could be back with Boston after that start in early May. I hope its happens if Lester is ready. -
I know you disagree, but I think he bring stability to the pitching staff, and I also think he is a good game caller, even though his game calling abilites are overated by the media.

What the hell happened to Coco Crisp? He was such an up and coming star after 2005.

So are they going to let him rot at triple A, I think a reasonable deal could be made, maybe involving Pedroia. I don't know I just don't think Dustin is going to make it here. From about the 3 months I have seen of him he doesn't look very good.

Hopefully the sight of the Yankees this weekend will awake Manny from his winter hibernation.

David with a moonshot! Jacko there is conserving Papelbons arm and then there is underuse, I want him to be sharp this weekend when we will really need him.
