    In his last two starts he has located the curve. The biggest difference is the change which sits around 85-86 instead of 89-90. That is a huge difference IMO.

    So are you saying Curt Schilling should not be in the rotation because he sucked after the allstar break? It's not lunacy, Timlin can still be a quality pitcher, he threw the ball well today. Did you watch the game? His fastball was 92-94 and he had good movement, he let's kill a guy because he had one bad half. I am not saying he will come back but he deserves a chance to prove him self.

    Come on Crespo, the hitters are more focused when the score is close. He is still going to throw the same, but I just think it's a different focus level when the game is close. I know he sucked last year, but maybe he was just struggling with injuries that werent annoucned, we have to give him at least a little chance to prove him self in big spots this year. If he sucks then he shouldn't be used, but he needs that chance.

    The question will become how many times can you go to the well? At some point your starters and middle relief will have to step up. I know things will look better for you guys once Wang and Mussina come back.

    He had good clutch stats in 05, and got hamered by the fans when he didn't do it in the postseason. I guess what I mean is that he will never be fully acepted until he performs in October; which I think is sort of unfair since he is probably the best player in the AL.

    I see a 6-3 game with 2 outs and 2 strikes on Posada and I leave and 30 minutes later this. Oh well at least the bullpen is burt after todays game. AROD's April heroics continue, lets see if this happens in Sept. and Oct.

    Also lost in the comeback was how well Tavarez pitched today, I will take his outting 10/10 times as the 5th starter. He was in complete control until the 6th, and was dueling Halladay pitch for pitch for a good portion of the game. If he can pitch like this, there is no need for Hansack, and we can just wait it out until Lester is ready. Which by most accounts could be sometime in early to mid May.

    I don't think brining Timlin in was a horrible idea. At some point the Sox have to see what they have this year with Timlin, and finding out earlier the better. He pitched O.K. today getting out of the jam.

    This was a huge win for the team today. This has to make everyone feel well going into the big weekend series with New York.

    Pedroia is not the long term answer at 2b. Either is Cora obvisously, maybe Pedroia will hit, but he has shown nothing so far. He is a hacker with no power and he is so slow. I just like the way Cora goes about things, and think he should Platoon with Pedroia, IMO that would help the club the most. Nice save for Paps. 9-5.

    Papelbon just made Stairs look so bad. 11 K's in like 5 innings so far this season. He is throwing gas. 95-97 today.
