    It looks like Manny is locked in already this year which is an incredibly good sign. If he can be the Manny of old this year, the sox offense is going to be a very powerful force. I liked the way DiceK held it together this morning, however, it reminded me so much of last season when this happened all the time. I hope he can start to find some consistency early in games and avoid the one bad inning that plauged him so badly last year.

    Nice Lugo. Wouldn't it be nice if Lugo could have a bounce back year? Say like .280 with 15 hrs and 75 RBIS.

    I agree, this is a really bad idea. Why do they feel the need to open the regular season in Japan? It doesn't make sense, and if there are repercusions I am going to pissed.

    I am soooo pisssed right now, at my college in Maine for some reason they don't offer Nesn in their college package, which shouldn't be a problem because the game is on Espn 2, wrong! Since this game is in a local Red Sox market the game is blacked out. I swear I am going to hurt someone.

    DiceK predicition: 6 innings, 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 7 k's 2 walks. Manny and Ortiz go back to back. Count on it. Sox win 7-3

    It sucks I can only watch until 7:50 and then I have to go to physics lab, which I can't skip. Blah. Freaking excited that baseball is back though!!!

    J.D Drew hit a Grand Slam this morning, giving him 2 hrs and 7 RBIS in the two exibition games. I know its only against Japananese competition, but if he can be the J.D. Drew of old, the Sox offense is going to be comparable to the yankees.

    Yeah seriously all the Red Sox nation and Sox appeal crap makes me sick to my stomach. I will say listening to Don and Jerry talk about Sox appeal is actually quite humorous though, basically because they are making fun of it.

    As for the Douggie move, I just dont understand it. Cash is the same offensively as Doug. At least there was a chance that Doug could pop one out of the park once in a while. It is puzzling seeing as how they have to pay him anyway and it was only a one year deal. Strange move.

    I pretty much agree, however I think our offense will be closer to yours this year. Do you realize how many guys had down years last year for us? If Manny, Drew and Lugo can go back to their career norms, our offense is going to put up a tun of runs. Plus having Jacoby instead of Crisp deepens the back end of our lineup immensey.
