Don't pretend everything has been hunky dorey for the Sox this season. Look at it this way, the Yankees have failed to take advantage of a Sox team that had Ortiz as a black hole, Dice-K pitching like a stunt double from A League of Their Own, Beckett and Lester s***ing the bed until 6 weeks ago and nothing from the shortstop position. The fact that the Sox even have a 4 game lead is fairly astounding to me.
