  1. if anything, that's just a reminder at how good our farm pitching is
  2. he also pitches about as well as an old lady who does her grocery shopping tuesday mornings at 11am

  4. is this on a planet where Bronson Arroyo is a good pitcher?
  5. I never saw betting on other teams to be on the same level as PED use so if those guys are allowed to be on the ballot, then so should Rose IMO
  6. I saw on Rotoworld that the Sox are making progress in trying to get Victor Martinez here. They offered Masterson, Bowden and a third prospect but were turned down.
  7. with the changeup and breaking ball he has, all he needs is the ability to locate his fastball to keep hitters honest. he doesnt need an overpowering fastball
  8. isn't Buchholz's main offering his changeup?
  9. I'd love to see people start to make pro-Buchholz arguments without having to resort to the fact that he threw a no-hitter two years ago....it's all but irrelevant
  10. After Smoltz's outing, I'm leaning towards an upgrade at SP
  11. what's the roster move? or did he take Buchholz's spot?
  12. what the f*** is even being discussed in this thread?
  13. there's no sense at all in making a move at SS unless it provides a serious offensive upgrade at the position. Jack Wilson doesn't accomplish that
  14. yea Lee has regressed this year but his numbers last year were just stupid. He's still been very effective this year
  15. I'm curious how legitimate that report is since other reports have stated Ricciardi isn't very high on Buchholz
  16. just got back from a weekend of camping. The Sox need to start figuring out how long they're willing to let this Smoltz experiment go despite the fact that he's clearly a liability in the rotation
  17. I'm Canadian...like I give a s***
  18. Got this topic from EEI and I find it pretty interesting. Say you're a Rays fan at US Cellular yesterday in the 9th inning. Would you have rooted for Gabe Kapler's shot to make it over the wall or for Mark Buehrle to preserve his perfect game? From a Sox fan's perspective, you can look back to 2007 when King Felix came in and took a no-hitter into (I think) the 8th inning. Were you rooting for Felix to get his no-hitter and be a witness to history or for the Sox to break it up?
  19. good for him, he isn't letting age be an excuse for declining performance now if he'll let me have his girlfriend Minka Kelly for a weekend, I'll respect him even more
  20. ok we get it, there's a lot of bad contracts out there
  21. so let him overachieve for us
  22. I heard talk that the Rays are interested in Lee Cliff Lee James Shields Matt Garza Scott Kazmir Jeff Niemann oy...
