  1. The more this story progresses, the worse the situation gets for the Yankees
  2. honestly, its just refreshing to not have to worry about an athlete's mood as to whether he'll give maximum effort or not and thats the way it should be
  3. Boston Red Sox (65-49) vs. Kansas City Royals (53-61) Tim Wakefield (6-8, 3.77) vs. Luke Hochevar (6-9, 5.42)
  4. im not worried about Buchholz. just like Lester, he needs the starts to go out there and just figure it out. he doesnt deserve to go back to Triple A cause hes proven hes past that level
  5. why is the card cheaper than the ticket?
  6. also, in terms of subway fare, what's the difference between the Charlie Card and the Charlie Ticket/cash-on-board?
  7. The Braintree Sheraton is charging us $85 a night, probably cause its a bit out of the way. but they have a free shuttle to the T and the hotel looks pretty good from the website
  8. so my girlfriend and I just purchased tickets for the September 12th game vs. the Jays and we're staying at the Sheraton in Braintree. we plan on taking the subway to the game so my question is, I always hear that the stop for Fenway Park is Kenmore but what about the Fenway stop on the green line?
  9. seriously, how good is Lowrie?
  10. is Alex Gordon really that bad defensively?
  11. I just saw the replay. seriously, what in the f*** was Ellsbury doing?
  12. wtf happened there...
  13. never a good sign when you hear the name Dr. James Andrews
  14. good job, Jacoby
  15. KC lineup is out... Mike Aviles-SS Esteban German-2B Mark Teahen-RF Jose Guillen-DH Billy Butler-1B Alex Gordon-3B John Buck-C Ross Gload-LF Mitch Maier-CF
  16. Ortiz is in the lineup tonight so I dont think the medical staff is concerned
  17. Lineup 1. J.D. Drew, RF 2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B 3. David Ortiz, DH 4. Kevin Youkilis, 1B 5. Mike Lowell, 3B 6. Jason Bay, LF 7. Jed Lowrie, SS 8. Jason Varitek, C 9. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF --Josh Beckett, SP of note, both Lowell and Ortiz are in the lineup. With regards to Ortiz, I think this shows the clicking he experiences last night was the normal clicking doctors told him he might experience cause otherwise, theres no way he would be in the lineup tonight
  18. Boston Red Sox (64-49) vs. Kansas City Royals (53-60) Josh Beckett (9-8, 4.15) vs. Brian Bannister (7-9, 5.33) Just f***ing win
  19. I read somewhere that trainers told him he'd feel clicking in the wrist from time to time and it really depends on how much of it he can take
  20. theres such a flexible lineup these days since you can basically put Drew, Bay, Lowell or Youkilis anywhere in the top 6 spots
  21. Lowell is out with a hip flexor but I wouldnt have minded seeing Drew, or even Bay, bat cleanup anyway
  22. dont wanna f*** with the game thread mojo but ill just point out here that JD Drew is leading off tonight
  23. no, he was on an extended rehab assignment cause Andre the Giant Jr. was pitching well
