when a pitcher is THAT wild, youre damn right im leaving the bat on his shoulder. its the same reason most guys dont get the green light on a 3-0 count
I don't accept that Lowell went up there looking for a pitch and swung when he found it. Shields couldnt find the strike zone if his life depended on it yesterday. I just dont see how he takes his bat off his shoulder in that situation when a walk brings in the tying run
Drew's been fighting an uphill battle for fan respect ever since he's come to Boston and Lowell's 2007 has earned him an eternal get of out jail free card for most fans
ok....Buchholz outperformed Bowden in the minors last year and you could say Charlie Zink outperformed both of them
to me, one surpasses the other one takes their chance in the majors and runs with it
I dont know but it isnt after one start. I think Buch is gonna have a monster year, he just might have a rough period getting over the disappointment of not making the big club
Clay Buchholz had a bit of a rough outing yesterday:
3.2 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 3 K
Daniel Bard continued with another dominating outing allowing no baserunners and striking out 2 over 2 innings.
f*** if I know, I can only speak for myself and I wasn't impressed with either's late-game at-bats yesterday.
But like I said, I expect Lowell to start slowly and if Tito is gonna have Drew out of the lineup every other day, I don't expect him to be able to get into any kind of rhythm either
