The NFL system would never be accepted by the Players Union of MLB. An example : A-Rod has a bad season, and NY releases him, thus saving remaing funds on contract and salary cap relief. This is how the NFL works ( with exception of bonus money ), the Players Union of MLB has already demonstrated that they aren't willing to compromise from there current contract ( real example A-Rod to the Sox trade ).

Exactly, spring traning, opening day, post trade deadline, expanded rosters, post season, these are all target dates on a critical path schedule to reach the World Series. Simply put, a series of evaluations and adjustments to reach and win the World Series.

I got asked by a few people if I could just post the templates with no prizes. So I did. Since, I've already posted the templates, and I'm going to have to rank results, I might as well add the prizes back in ! The pzes of $ 25 per category are back in.

Okay fellow sports fans, heads up, this week starts on Saturday. Which means, your picks must be in by noon on 12/24/05. You must follow the rules. They are ( I hate being redundant ) : Use the templates provided ( any edits/corrections use your submission ) Indicate when you pick if you're just playing for recognition ( I assume everyone else is playing for prizes and recognition ). You must have 10 posts to win a prize. There must be 8 or more qualified prize contestentsin each category for prizes to be awarded. There are three prize categories : 1) Spread Category : You're picking the favorite or the underdog. The favorite is listed to the left. The middle column is the points that you must win by. This means if the Pats are favored by 4 ( which they are ) they must win by more than 4 for you to win, if they win by 4 its a tie, and less than 4 you loose. If you chose Tampa, that means at kick-off Tampa leads 4 to 0. In other words, Tampa can ; win, then you win, loose by less than 4 then you win, or loose by 4 then you tie. 2) Straight Category : Very simple just pick a winner. Flip a coin, take the favorites, names you like, etc. 3) Total Monday Night Football Points Scored : This is used in two ways. One as a way to determine a winner in the case of a tie. Also as a seperate category for the less advanced. Its very simple , in fact the simplest . Pick a number that you think is the combined score of the two teams playing on Monday Night, the closestwins +/-. An example : the score is 24-10 = 34 pts, the person that picked closest to 34 wins either exact, above or below. I'm pretty sure last night was the deadline, but I definately vould br wrong. I've been reading nothing but tax code the last few weeks.

Ihope you don't mean. I'd rather beat or lose to a team at their full strenth, that includes the Yanks. But I never want to see a fine athlete hurt.
