  1. Or put me in the hospital
  2. Mother F !
  3. Yes, geat sack !
  4. Key field goal !
  5. If it weren't for special teams, this game would be over. Now just hold on to ball and kill the clock and kick a field goal.
  6. I think it was walk naked to Washington, he then said that was not legal. Then said if he could get a couple weeks off , he'd do it.
  7. Did anyone else change thier picks ?
  8. Does he remind you of Bledsoe ?
  9. Alexander with a concussion, I doubt he'll return.
  10. It's about 20 min. before game time, anyone that has, or will, make changes in their picks, please let me know. This is so I can adjust my master sheet. Thanks guys and good luck !
  11. Agree with that. Unfortunately, who really is pulling the strings for the Sox ? I'm not a big fan of committee for anything ( as in closer ). There's only one captain on a ship.
  12. So wouldn't I ! But I think the quick promotion last year really hurt him and his trade value.
  13. True, he also was in the last year of his contract, ie. he wanted to "display" his talents. When he went to the A's he got the opportunity to get significant playing time ( due to injuries and a "hot streak" ). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the A's signed him for two years. Occasionally, I go to one of the A's sites : http://www.oaklandfans.com/discus/messages/board-topics.html. Yes, I agree that he'd be a great fit, especially in our current situation, it's a question of, at what cost ? On an aside, everyone has been throwing out the same names : Clement, Arroyo, Wells, etc. Then there's the untouchables: Pap, Lester, Hansen, etc. All of these real or proposed deals have not been completed. One name I haven't heard mentioned is Manny Declamen ( sorry if I have butchered any spelling my eyes are starting to give out from tax work ). He could be the wild card in any of these deals. Edit : Still trying to figure out why the Sox are trying to sign Arroyo to a three year deal ? Is it for the Sox benifit or to complete a deal ?
  14. Aside from the potential / real bad blood between Payton and the Sox, there is the issue that Bean what's to fill a need, and / or stock pile prospects or picks. Which entails a three-way ( or more ) trade ( LA the most recent ). Even if the complexities of a three-way trade could be consummated, I don't see Payton consigning himself to another temporary situation, remember last year. From that, I'd conclude that Payton is not the answer. My guess ( and that's all any of the trades are ) there will definitely be a deal completed that probably has not even been brought up yet.
  15. That's an excuse for us old timers. Thaks for the information.
  16. Define, what is next season 2006 or 2007 ?
  17. NFL Football Spread Divisional Playoff Games NFL Playoff Game Dates 1/14 & 1/15, 2006 Date & Time..............Favorite...............NFL Spread............Underdog 1/14 4:30 ET............... At Indianapolis........ -9.5................ Pittsburgh 1/15 4:30 ET............... At Chicago........... -3.5.................Carolina No real thought here, except I have to pick the Pats and I got to make some ground up. Actually, I'm hoping the Pats and Pittsburgh to win for a great championship game. Then the Pats win and we get revenge against Chicago ! Good luck everyone !
  18. Valid points, my conern is basically for a multitude of reasons the Sox have backed themselves into a a weak bargining postion. Their needs are well known. Add in the PR factor ( yanks rivalery ), front office confusion ( dual Gm's, Theo gone, but might comeback in "another capacity" ), and the floated trades real or rumored ( none of us are privy to the real proposals ). We can get by with the current talent to fill the SS problem. But it's well known we're pretty much screwed as far as our CF defeciancy is concerned. Your correct in that we could try the kids in SP. However, that leads to the mental pressures that will be put on kids that aren't ready. This would lead to two detrimental effects. One, potentially ruining a young prospect ( or at least retarding their growth ) and two, putting us in an even worse negotiating postion.
  19. If this were true, I think this would clearly have been done long ago. There must be a sticking point with regards to value from our end.
  20. Sounds cool. My oldest son is moving out to Houston in a couple of weeks, maybe I'll make atrip out there after tax season and check it out.
  21. Glad to have you, welcome aboard !
  22. Haha, drop weight, use ankle weights, and work-out. Slim, trim, and good looking=The Man.
  23. Is that to help with your speed ? PS: Did you amend your picks yet ?
