    That' true, but if you have an appeal umpire, that's who you'd be bitching with. Or whatever, 2 appeals, etc. they replay the hell out of them anyway. Maybe, it'll bring in more television revenue ( keep down ticket prices - ya right ). But it seems to be a demonstrated trend of reviewing and at times reversing decisions. Just trying to envoke a little conversation. I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas to make the game a little fairer.

    Also, that's the beauty of the game, it's an evolutionary process. That's why it's still relevant today.

    I beg to differ, "integrity of the game " by who's standards ? Lowering of the mound, DH, juiced balls, strike zone, greenies, roids, pick one. Who said atomatically, could be an extra umpire, challenges, think outside the box a little. They have alreading demonstrated a willingness to overturn plays.

    With the amount of critical close plays in baseball, why shouldn't the be a Replay system for umpires to get it right. Obviously, can't be used for balls and strikes, but what about all those other killer plays ? Any thoughts guys/ gals ?

    I agree with the team effort / unselfish attitude, however there's alot more room in footbal for role players.

    If Schilling were healthyy, he'd be starting. If we believe he'll be back in Sept. I'll take Schilling over Burnett any day.

    The yankee's used to have player's you could at leat respect as Ballplayer and men. You're down to a precious few ( Jeter, Williams, Tito, Posada ). The rest are a bunch of has beens, cheats and mercenies. Sheff has no credibility after roids, making intention errors to get traded ( sounds self-centered to me ) . Your Earn respect, you don't ask for it .

    Exactly, Bill shouldn't be at 2nd, he'd be on DL in 2 to 3 weeks. Does any one remember bad knees, at second he'd take a beating. I'd rather save him as PH utility. I especially like PH .

    Also, he' clearly stated that he indends to test the Free Agency Market next year ( unless he gets an offer that he can't refuse --- hide those horses ).

    Also, they have no trade bait to fix their problems ( plus there's a rather baren maken out there for #1 or #2 SP ).

    Agreed, but Youk has very limited time at second. It takes some time to get timing right on DP's if at all.

    This is true. But in reality, all we can do is speculate. Theo's the one doing the talking, know's the plan, and more importly has the trigger.

    Agreed except, Bk Kim was a help 03' ( do we remember "Bull Pen by Commitee " ?)Granted he was a head case and sucked after that.
