    Riverside, I agree with the body of what you said, however, Miller wasn't a trade. He was a waiver wire pick-up ( low money big upside ).

    Joe, a appreciate your passion, but have to take some serious exceptions : 1) Manny in a slump for awhile, when did this start ? Have you looked at his stats lately ? Get real. Manny has never cared about how he looked. As a matter of fact, has never really cared about stats.By the way, do you have some secret source that tell what Manny is doing ? 2) Olerud hurt ? When did that happen ? So the other two are so what, it happens. 3) Guess what that is the quality of player you get when you "have" to trade players of little trade value. What do think other teams are going to say " sure give of your junk and we'll be happy to trade you are power hitting .300 + All Star. 3) Millar's okay. Why cause you like him. He's under performed and by your criteria dosn't belong in a Red Sox Uniform. Which I might agree with. Before you make these kind of statement, put a little thought into what you're saying. Offer an reasonable alternative. By the way, welcome aboard.

    Sox won't bring up Hanley until Sept. ( if at all ). He's not going to play short and he he has little experience at second. So where is he going to play ? Answer : no where he'd ride the bench. It's much better to bring him along slowly. Agreed he's a fine Prospect, but you don't throw him into a pressure play-off race this fast. It could and probably would seriously mess with head ( confidence ).

    Lilly is available it's just at what cost. Shea is definitely available, but no way Sox would take him back for two reasons bad mouthing Theo after being traded and the fact that he absolutely sucks the second half ( historically ).

    Hey Guys, as much as I like to brag and I'm all for a friendly rivalry, let's not forget Baltimore is stll in the race ( and might better even stronger with potential trades ). To be honest, neither the Sox or the Yanks have yet to have a healthy lineup together for any significant ( hence the streaks- that and strenth of schedule ). None of this will be known until we see who gets what in trades, who comes back from injuries ( major questions in both camps ), and who gets called up and performs. So why not just enjoy the wins, get over the losses and look forward to September. BTW, I still think the Sox are better.

    Abolutely NO WAY this will happen. Theo would never deplete the farm for a problem that can / will be fixed internally. There are too many other needs pitching, pitching, and pitching.

    Stocker 323 Sorry about the bold tried to edit and correct but guess it didn't work. But there were three base running errors, killing at least one possibly two rallies. Sorry, just really pissed. I'll calm down in an hour or two. Love my Sox. Hate those Yanks !!!!!

    Dont't know where else to put this, so if wrong move it. But this weekend, for those of you with digital cable from Comcast can watch for free today and tommorrow. The channels on mine are 621-629. However they only list 6 games. Game six being Baltimore vs. Seatle 10:05 PM ET start. Just incase you want more baseball tonight. Enjoy
