    Only the Guardians averaged over 6IP by SP last year. Every other teams is in the mid to high 5’s. the problem is that the bullpen sucks, regardless of how many innings they pitch. They suck either way.

    its a little tough comparing baseball 116 years ago to today. Fielding gloves barely existed, if at all and the crab grass in my backyard is better than most outfields were. Fields were in rough shape back then.

    So, not as serious as we thought. We are going to be hearing about this all year. This is probably his last season. If he doesnt retire, they will DL him next year and pay him to stay away from the team (like the Yankees with Ellsbury).

    Thats the problem though. Is that worth 21M a year? Is that worth another long term contract? He said he was willing to take a discount, yet those numbers havent been leaked. I doubt it was much of a discount, because Porcello is very valuable at a discounted price.

    You are asking the wrong person. Its not a panic move to me, because he is replaceable. I have never been a JBJ fan. He is fine when the rest of the lineup is hitting, but when they aren't covering for him, you see how inept he is. Finding a replacement for JBJ isnt a panic move. Its actually an upgrade

    ugh......that line of thinking is dangerous. We value our own players wayyyyy higher than other teams do. JBJ is probably a 4th OF anywhere else. He literally cant hit. Darren Lewis was a GG defensive OF. He was a 4th OF on most teams, bc he couldnt hit.......and to be honest, Lewis was a better baserunner, and a better offensive player.
