  1. Dustin has been hot since his return. Here are his stats for the 9 games since he came back. .367 AVG, .633 SLG, .486 OBP, 2 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 7 BB, 2 K
  2. Quick chime in from me on vacation in Sandwich, MA: Crespo should not be banned because he knows our farm system better than just about anybody. Riverside, God love 'em, is a huge "homer", but he's die-hard too. Everyone has their opinion on the Giambi issue, yet nobody will be proven right, EVER. Sheff's a dick, and I love how he's holding form in NY just like he did in Milwaukee, LA, Atlanta. Night all, I'll be back regularly next week.
  3. I see the potential if he adds a pitch, but I've always questioned the idea of fixing anything that isn't broken. A key component to success today is the "light's out" closer. Look at the Yankees. Four WS titles in five years, and they probably only win two of them without Rivera.
  4. Nasty splitter to end it. Good home stand, 6-0.
  5. 2 down.....Schill hits 94 on the gun.
  6. Vaccum looks a lot like "f*** you" when lipreading.
  7. Still bunting with 2 strikes?!?!?!?
  8. You have a 4-run lead, and you walk the #9 hitter with two outs. What planet did Gonzales learn to play baseball on?
  9. Anyone think Papi will see a pitch he can hit today?
  10. 4 runs in the 3rd on 1 hit, a double. 3 walks, HBP brings the first run in, double clears the bases.
  11. O Captain, My Captain!!!!! Tek with the Granny!!!!!!!
  12. Cruz and Bellhorn are twins separated at birth.
  13. I hadn't checked his stats in a week or so, must've hit a little hot streak.
  14. Rent doubled in JD, who reached on a two-out walk. First hit and run for the Sox today.
  15. Aw, C'mon. Why can't I make my picks now, Captain Obvious?
  16. Yeah, I guess Theo should have shelled out bigger money than Anaheim did to keep O'Cab, who I liked, but is hitting a Bellhornish .225 this year.
  17. First hit, first run.....way to go Rent!
  18. Four runs on 1 hit. Very sad.
  19. Get out your maps! Matt can't find the strikezone. 3 walks and HBP to score a run.
  20. JD - CF Rent - SS Ortiz - DH Petagine - 1B Varitek - C Millar - LF Mueller - 3B Cora - 2B Cruz - RF DeJesus - CF Gotay - 2B Sweeney - DH Stairs - 1B Brown - RF Long - LF Berroa - SS Teahen - 3B Castillo - C
  21. It's a leftover tradition. While right handed batters are still more prevalent, they used to be even more prevalent in the past. A left handed catcher has to avoid a right handed batter to make the throw to 2nd, and has to make a fuller turn to set up for the throw to 3rd.
  22. No they can't. The MLBPA and MLB agreed to urine testing only, so the league cannot ask for additional screenings on his blood tests.
  23. In play, run scoring play......
