    Kappy looks like he picks a spot where he thinks the ball will be when it leaves the pitchers hand, and then swings there instead of actually following it in all the way with his eyes.

    Some smallish ball to get one in. Manny fouls out. I wonder if anyone in the FO saw what having an outfielder with range can do for your pitchers.

    If you believe the "once and unintentional" story, then I've got some real estate here for you in Florida. Sheff has shown very little loyalty to anyone other than himself at every stop in his career. Why would you expect Barry to get any different treatment? Barry is a bigger name and part of the Balco thing, in other words, the ideal scapegoat for Sheff.

    No, I meant all those fans you mentioned too. They are doing what satisfies their idea of what being a fan is. Just because they don't jump into it with the passion that people like you or I do doesn't reflect negatively on them. If you don't want to converse with uninformed/uninterested fans, I can hardly blame you there, and the beautiful thing is, you don't have to if you don't want to.

    I don't look at fairweather fans in any light at all. Everyone roots for their team for whatever reason satisfies them, and I don't think one should hold that against them. I mentioned neither support nor dissent for your concept of who you would like to represent your team in an argument because I didn't think it was worthy of a response. If someone with little understanding of baseball or the team they root for wishes to engage a knowledgable and informed "true" fan of the opposition, then that is their choice. Why would that effect me?

    Are you not looking down your nose at fairweather fans and bandwagoners? Your statement doesn't lead one to conclude that you view them in a favorable light. My main point is that you haven't been a fan of your team long enough to experience the woe of watching a losing team, and that is not your fault due to your age. If you haven't had to endure a "bad"weather era, then how do you know you aren't a fairweather fan? Before you hold others in contempt, you ought to make sure that you aren't a little like them.

    Alex Gonzalez strikes out with 2-down and runners on the corners. In the last 3 series vs. the NYY he has committed 3 or 4 errors,struck out a handful of times, and hit into a couple of DP's. I guess he's the only D-Ray still getting lap dances from Mystique and Aura.

    If you are tired of the topic, why reply? I'm not saying the topic has merit, but I am curious why someone who is fed up with a topic continues it's propagation.

    You can drop it by choosing not to read it. The more you reply, the longer the thread lasts. If you simply must read and reply, then one must assume the term "drop it" means "see it my way" for you.
