  1. Depends whether or not someone does one of those things chronically. Lowe hasn't changed at all. Lugo had one isolated incident. I'm not condoning what he did, but people can learn from their mistakes. I think you say its hypocrisy when that happens.
  2. I never stated you said anything otherwise. I merely asked a question, and your answer says a lot about who has some growing to do. You can't separate your hatred for the Sox from your desire to wish a member of the team good health. Petulant.
  3. Here's a neat site that shows some of the non-traditional stats for the Sox and all MiLB levels in the Sox organization. linky
  4. You missed the biggest missing piece. Petey's complimentary starter, Curt. He's had a couple of OK offseasons, and one wretched one. The wretched one made them rethink their approach. Shame on them for learning from their mistakes. I know you'd prefer it if they kept trying to shove the square peg into the round hole, but that's just not the way the business works.
  5. Those are FRAA - fielding runs above average. They can be found on the DT cards of any player for free on BaseballProspectus.com. EqA, VORP, WARP, et al are proprietary material of the site, and they have a statistics glossary explaining each one. They aren't the best (well EqA is) stats out there, but they are easy to look up. BP and THT are the best sites for quick sabermetric stats.
  6. No, I'm not, and I don't care how difficult I make your case. I think you provide nothing useful to the site, and when pressed you are a rude, crude person. In other words, good riddance.
  7. I heard the price of popping kernels for popcorn increased by 0.32$ per ton. Looks like Matsuzaka is going to cost a little more. And, rumor has it that the Mustard Seed Growers of America are struggling with their crop, so that could add a little more to Daisuke's cost. Nothing is funnier watching the Yankee fans here add the "Matsuzaka's price just went up" tag to every FA signing. Funniest thing of the offseason. It's like watching cockroaches scurry when the light flicks on........"but, but, the price of Matsuzaka just went up!" Very entertaining.
  8. Someone as concerned as you about the integrity of the site would have read the Terms of Usage and would know that sneaking back in under another name after being banned is not allowed. Bye.
  9. Past 3 years... Abreu: -4 runs compared to average Drew: +12 runs compared to average About 5 runs a year better. Not much better, but better. Funny how that works, I can concede he's not much better when the numbers are kind of close. Why can't you do the same?
  10. ^^Least creative sneak-back-in name ever.
  11. A plow? Does he spend a lot of time tending the farm in the offseason? Hey Manny, get your head out of the rutabagas and make sure you heal up that knee.
  12. Career OPS+/EqA Drew 133/.304 Abreu 137/.314 Better offensively, but not by any margin that supports your much statement. Drew, despite not having Abreu's speed, is statistically the better defender. Abreu is a better player, just not by the margin you suggest.
  13. Look at his stats, namely ERA, WHIP, and K/9 for his career and tell me the trend. Look at his age too.
  14. I must have taken a long slumber last night, I though it was 2006, not 2009. The Damon signing, and Drew signing, won't be determined mistake/non-mistake until they run their course (or someone goes out for substantial time). We'll see in a couple of years.
  15. What other 3? Are you only looking at games played? He played 25 AA games in '99 prior to playing 100+ games for the Cards as a rookie. Then there is 2001 and 2003. I don't know what the injuries were. Sportnet.ca only goes back to 2004 with injury history. Whatever the case, whatever it was that hurt him then hasn't recurred in the last 3 years. Is he a concern? Sure, but he's no "sure-fire trip to the 60-day DL because it's an odd year and he likes cheese sandwiches" like you love to suggest.
  16. He's a HBP away from 3 straight 145+ game seasons. I know you love to flaunt his "injury" history, but stop acting like he's got a chronic problem.
  17. He's younger, but I think Doubront is the best LHP prospect on the Sox (keeping the same Lester assumption).
  18. Sure, your husband. Still trying to keep the ruse, huh? Why, then, did he deny it? It seems a greater loss to denounce your wife than to be outed as a bandwagoner. And, why did you and Annie's tone change from pleasant to putrid once he denied it? Sell your wares some place else, I'm not buying.
  19. I'll admit, I was wrong in my assumption, but it was made for good reason. A series of posts were discussing a topic regarding someone playing CF, and then you chimed in about another player in CF. It looked like you were continuing the discussion, and not singling out another post in the thread. Yeah, my posts are POS. Remind me who is here just to talk smack to a 60 y/o on the internet?
