  1. off the subject i know, but i was ecstatic to hear Clemens led the Astros to a 3-1 win (1.87 ERA, 185 Ks)--tomorrow they will play the Cubs to secure the wild card, Philadelphia plays the Nationals---a tie breaker game will be played monday in philadephia if needs be--be great to see him end his career with a cy young type season and make it to the world series
  2. you do realize there is still a possibility of 8 more games to be played of sox vs yanks. dont you?
  3. take a look back at the stats what he has done for the sox past week. bases loaded/2 outs, not a good percentage for any batter. strike 2 was called on a low ball that couldve been ball 4 and walked in a run. dide he strike out on 3 pitches? no he had worked a 10 pitch at bat. You're never ending complaints about renterria is just assinine and no one except for the now defunct "guybo" has agreed with you.
  4. i knew when i bought game 3 tickets, it would be a big game, behind the yankees dugout. i'll throw some extra cheers at the sox for you guys, as well as the occasional boo to the likes of sheffield and arod Go Sox
  5. Matt Clement will get the start with just 3 days rest Id rather have Papelbon get the start against the Guardians
  6. best offense: Manny with his 2 big shots (44th, too bad it only ammounted to 3 RBIs). Tony G got it done going 3 for 3 with his solo HR (7th of season, 4th with Sox) and he had a stolen base. Johnny's gota 7 game hirring streak and had a stolen base. dishonorable mention: sox offense is still struggling (HRs aside) at the plate here at Fenway. Bill Mueller's batting has gone cold since coming back from the road trip. Tek was pinch hitter not until the 9th inning best defense: Trot's grab. Rent especially cleaning solid D still best pitching: Mike Stanton in his 1st Red Sox outing delivered a great outing, including a K and sweet move of picking off Cano. despite umps' bad call that Matsui didnt go out of the baseline, yea running onto the grass is f***ing in the line, asses. Dinardo still got out of a bases loaded and 1 out jam, giving up just 1 run. Hansen did have a respectable 1st outing against the Yankees dishonorable mention: much love for Wake, but it showed 3 days rest had hurt him. If a game is se for Monday, Sox vs Indiand, Clement will take the ball on just 3 days rest as well.
  7. why are you acting like the red sox's season is over. there is just 1, maybe two more games left and the got the wild card
  8. yeah see but sox if they win tomorrow that bumps your team out for good. if Guardians win, sox see another day. so hey i feel good
  9. ok now the nesn boys are fawning over randy johnson
  10. yesss, damn that does work out great for us . sox have winning record of 4-3 against the white sox and yea um the Angels have been a pain in the ass to the yankees this season, good stuff indeed
  11. nesn im already sick enough and you call randy johnson the star of the game, im even more sick now. thanks
  12. two games the sox had almost winning (tampa bay game that timlin blew) and toronto game (curt was left intoo long)--be much differnt even with one of those being won
  13. i had to change the channel: interview with torre and he cant take off his sunglasses because the bitch is crying
  14. that rain out was really a big blow--wakefield on 3 days rest has never been good, a number of things went wrong today
  15. Hansen comes in, though gives up a hit to Arod, he got out Giambi and Sheffield. Good job Hansen
  16. white sox win!!! we still have hope to make it to the playoffs
  17. well say if papelbon threw a 15 pitch inning today, so he would have to be shut down for tomorrow?--Gonzo and Dinardo in the 8th today gave up a run, and couldve been more
  18. ok i guess no papelbon or timlin today. chad bradford
  19. 4 run game into the 9th--Papelbon or Timlin for the 9th please if any rally is possible against Mo expected are Varitek, Nixon, Tony G
  20. well it is a change of pace from him talking about yankees 24/7
  21. too bad that wasnt bases loaded.. but f***ing shot by manny!! brings it back to a 4 run game
  22. now that is disgusting to see, randy johnson getting a standing ovation at Fenway Park, him tipping his hat to the crowd
  23. dinardo K's bernie, inning wouldve been differnt if not for the yankee loving umps as well as big questions to why gonzalez and dinardo were chosen over Paps the 8th inning guy
  24. just wow the yankees still are favored with that half-ass call--matsui went onto the grass, out of the line!!
