  1. What a debut to have for Ramirez, striking out the side (all swinging). I loaded up my mlbtv to see that inning. Maybe Proctor can get some actual time off now?
  2. yess Sox win, 51-31, back to 20 games above .500 Hopefully this 2 for 3 performance gets Lugo off and rolling Dice-K improves to 10-5, 3.53 ERA, 119 Ks in 114.2 innings. Play his cards right and he's on pace for a 20 win season, 200+ innings, 200+ Ks. Dice's last 4 starts he is 3-0 with an 0.62 ERA. Something funny to think about, Jacko tried to tout that Igawa would be the inngs eater and it would be doubtful that Dice could be able to approach 200 innings this year
  3. Dice is on f***ing cruise control Is it just me or has Tek been throwing out more runners recently?
  4. oh phew, thank god that streak was over. What a way to end it, a 2 run single against Kazmir and the Rays. Maybe playing vs his former team can help jump start his season, like how Drew playing against national leagu teams had revived him
  5. Crisp is back after three days off with a sprained thumb. Wily Mo gets his first playing time in awhile as he gives Drew the day off against the lefty Kazmir this season on the road in 8 games, 5-2 with a 4.49 ERA
  6. Anyone hear about the Twins' Neshek? I heard on ESPN he has started his own blog, campaigning for fans to vote for him as the last All-star on the 32 man roster. He also implores Yankee fans to vote for him so "you know who" wont get in
  7. How fitting for it to Ellsbury (tonight's star) who catches the last out of the game Halfway mark, the Sox are now at 50-31 http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20070703/capt.1ae63b9d815f4692997f678f56b59ed2.rangers_red_sox_baseball_maea105.jpg
  8. I know the last time a Sox player was in this type of stretch was Luis Apparicio (spelling?) in which he went like 0 for 41 I believe
  9. Damn it, 0 for his last 33 hmm looks like Lugo & Eyre were havin some words
  10. Woohoo Varitek, oh yea this is how it should be Just heard that the last time a Sox player has scored from 2nd on a passed ball, was 2nd baseman Jeff Frye in 97 vs the Athletics Speaking of which, Ellsbury has reached base 4 times tonight 2 for 2, 2 Walks, 2 Runs, SB
  11. Hinske since his pinch hit homerun against Atlanta in the 11-0 blowout 6 for 14 (.429 avg) Double, Triple, 2 HRs, 6 RBIs, 3 Runs, Walk, 3 Ks`
  12. Ellsbury: 2 for 2, Walk, 2 Runs, SB
  13. Hinske motherf***er!!! Man he got that pitch from below his knees He has been on a tear since his HR against Atlanta
  14. 85 pitches through 5. Send him out there for the 6th, with someone warming up in the bullpen as insurance
  15. Wilkerson has killed the Sox this series Now he walks the next batter on 4 pitches
  16. f*** yea Ellsbury!! 2 for 2, 2 runs, SB
  17. Julio is having a good game, 2 walks and a sac bunt
  18. Nice rip by Ellsbury, this is his first career multi-hit-game
  19. Manny with the laser of a shot to center, hope this is the beginning of a monster run
  20. Dusty!! Alright boys lets put this in cruise control
  21. Im surprised that Lugo didnt keep running to 3rd
  22. Youkilis is a late scratch tonight due to a recurring sore quad... with that Julio Lugo is prime & center as he is thrust back into the leadoff spot McCarthy this season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-1 with a 13.85 ERA. On the road in 8 games, 2-4 with a 6.09 ERA Gabbard this season at home in 2 games, 2-0 with a 4.42 ERA
