  1. Damage control, Gabbard is having one of his location trouble innings
  2. Oh, I thought it had been dismissed
  3. Considering I guess Sox are "talking about Lugo" with the White Sox in the Buehrle negotiations. I wonder if that would mean Uribe could be a part of that deal. Uribe like Buerhle is a free agent at the end of the season. Cora/Uribe at shortstop this year I could live with
  4. Remy must have missed that like I did then. He was acting like it was a straight out steal attempt
  5. Human rain delay Bonderman gets his wish as Lowell is out at 2nd. I agree "Schil", it looked like his foot touched the bag before the tag was applied EDIT: Still Im not sure why Lowell was even sent out to steal. He's not that of a speedy guy and he had a small ass lead when he took off
  6. Jeez not that long ago, Durazo was big bat for the A's
  7. Woo hoo Ortiz! Its about time you take one deep, maybe getting yesterday off did you some good. Ive got a feeling he has a monster 2nd half. Sorry just getting the matchups, got home from a looong day outside. Exhausted. Gabbard this season on the road in 2 games, 5.87 ERA Bonderman this season at home in 9 games, 5-1 with a 3.25 ERA
  8. This year's offensive breakout player, Bubba Bell, has been promoted to Double A Portland. Lets see if it was just the park doing its damage. Before this year he had never hit more than 3 HRs. He went 1 for 4 in his Sea Dogs debut Lancaster stats 76 games- 119 for 322 (.376 avg) (.465 obp) (.665 slg) (1.120 ops) 27 Doubles, Triple, 22 HRs, 83 RBIs, 95 Runs, 48 Walks, 39 Ks, 10 SBs
  9. That would be correct, the sinker is said to be his best pitch. He had a standout year as a reliever last year but the Sox converted him into a starter. My opinion is that he is best suited as a reliever
  10. Pettitte is falling hard. Here's his last 2 starts, facing Oakland and Anaheim 6.2 innings, 19 Hits, 16 Runs (15 ER), 2 HRs, Walk, 6 Ks
  11. Who says Tavarez would be the one demoted and not Gabbard once Schilling returns? I never got on Gabbard's back about his mechanics. Yes Gabbard is a body... but really having Tavarez/Gabbard as our 4/5 guys for the next month? And thats if Schilling is able to come off the DL effectively
  12. Sean MacAdams, Providence Journal http://www.projo.com/redsox/content/sp_bb_soxjo05_07-05-07_6L692C3.2d56fce.html
  13. I just dont get how you can keep a guy whos getting hit hard by the whole lineup that you, with the team down 4-1 already, leave him in there with the bases loaded. I guess he would say "Well you know he's just a good kid. I wanted him to at least get us out of that inning with 2 men out" Tito only pulls a starter on the rocks once the game is clearly out of hand
  14. duh duh francoma get him the f*** out of there!!!!!!!
  15. Annd it takes a bery good play by Pedroia to save Tavarez of his 5th run allowed in 4 innings. Really I dont see what Tito is seeing compared to what we are. The lineup top to bottom is seeing the ball well off of him tonight... see 10 Hits already
  16. Hey bullpen, get ready for some work in. This series Im really only confident about Dice-K's start
  17. Now Coco with the SB! BTW, last time 2 players on the Sox have gotten at least 25 SBs apiece was back in the 1930s
  18. Why the f*** did they send Wily Mo on that? Granderson was in shallow center and Wily Mo is not a quick runner At first for this post I was going to mention about this year's surge in triples for the Red Sox. Last year they were second to last in baseball with just 16 triples. With Wily Mo's triple today, they are tied for 5th in baseball at 20 triples
  19. Youkilis has been dealing with a sore quadricep for the past month, rest much needed. Ditto for Ortiz who's been dealing with his quadricep all season, a factor into why the power outage. Even moreso as he will travel to San Fran to be the starting AL 1st baseman and man the field
  20. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore;_ylt=Aj.Dm4SbENq0JkvPyq8LhdE5nYcB?gid=270706204 Anyone see, err... the football game today? Minnesota beat the White Sox by a score of 20-14. Jon Garland, just wow, gave up 12 Runs (11 ER) in 3.1 innings
