  1. Gagne is out for the next several days still. Delcarmen or Timlin for the 7th, Okajima for the 8th, Papelbon for the 9th
  2. Jacoby f***ing' Ellsbury Now Sox offense thanks to Dice-K and Javier Lopez (both left in too long), get some extra runs off of the Blue Jays' good set of young setup men
  3. Dice-K's final line 5.1 innings, 10 Hits, 7 Runs, Walk, 3 Ks Damn this ump's strike zone has been tight tonight
  4. bases loaded no outs squander last inning is looking very big right now
  5. 10-8 now get the hack out of there. Hey Tito love your handling of the pitching today!
  6. Lopez the lefty specialist is left in to face lefty smasher Wells, 4 pitch walk, get him the f*** out of there
  7. And he gets a standing ovation as he leaves the mound. Im sorry but even if the pitcher's on track to get the win, I dont stand and clap for a pitcher who implodes as Dice-K just did 700, K's arent the problem for Dice. His last 4 starts he had 30 Ks. At Fenway Park he does have a much lower K ratio than his gaudy road stats f*** now its 10-6
  8. That was quick for the 1st out, it only took him 6 batters to get there. Jesus Christ he was f***ing cruising like in other starts and then his knees buckle later in the game, hanging pitches over the heart of the plate ensue
  9. Previous pitch, Matsuzaka nearing 100 pitches with no outs, no one warming up in the pen. But eh its Tito we're talking about
  10. That was Ellsbury's 1st career K in 26 ABs, like Pedroia his strike zone patience is solid So possible destination for Crisp? I believe Atlanta and the Chicago White Sox are the most likely
  11. ho hum Ellsbury/Pedroia are showing us what 2008 & beyond will be like
  12. Drew has an out, but its a productive one Maybe theres still hope he'll top 50 RBIs
  13. I like this Ellsbury/Pedroia combo Haha Rios tried to throw out Ellsbury outs when he was already rounding 2nd EDIT: Woohoo Papi, 4-0
  14. 100 RBIs for Mikey! His career high is at 105, at this rate he should finish in the 120 range
  15. I was, and Im sure some other posters on this board would agree, just caught up in the moment that is a Sox/Yankees series
  16. I dont forgive Harrison. It was dumb s*** and he shouldnt have done that (hello Rodney they do something called drug testing), the suspension was well deserving
  17. Its quite simple. I give props to the yankees for playing their hearts & guts out against the Red Sox. At the same time it is plausible that they built themselves up so much for 1 series that its left them disoriented. Since those 3 games in the Bronx, the Yankees pitching and offense has been sub par to say the least
  18. Just a disclaimer: When I post the matchups more than 2 hours before the game, they are not the set lineups for the game at hand. Its just me drawing a matchup from their previous game. I do edit the matchups once I hear the official lineups. Youkilis has the day off after his 4 K performance last night, Tito said he was looking "haggard". Glaus is set to play tonight for Toronto. Litsch this season on the road in 9 games, 3-4 with a 3.71 ERA
  19. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AgWS8rYcq3xigfPEFp6tAy8RvLYF?slug=jp-alroy090207&prov=yhoo&type=lgns As the season nears its end, thought it would be good time to have a Rookie of the Year thread. Yahoo's Jeff Passan listed his top 10 AL rookies of 2007. No debate for the NL ROY as it is clearly Ryan Braun 1. Brian Bannister- Royals 2. Dustin Pedroia- Red Sox 3. Daisuke Matsuzaka- Red Sox 4. Hideki Okajima- Red Sox 5. Jeremy Guthrie- Orioles 6. Joakim Soria- Royals 7. Josh Fields- White Sox 8. Delmon Young- Devil Rays 9. Reggie Willits- Angels 10. Alex Gordon- Royals
  20. What a catch for Coco EDIT 1-2-3 9th for Papelbon on just 6 pitches! Sox win, 6 game lead with the Yanks losing to the lowly Devil Rays 8-2. Im loving it. The future is here with Bucholz, Pedroia, and Ellsbury making their presence known in large fashion Bring on Toronto Matsuzaka vs Litsch Beckett vs Halladay Schilling vs Marcum
  21. Nice to see you Tito. Again you shouldnt have left him to start off the inning when he was running on fumes the previous inning. Lopez and Lowell get themselves out of the 7th. O's bullpen coming up, extra runs please
  22. s***, now Moss makes a great catch. I love this team. Ever since last night my adrenaline and optimism for this team has gone up by a big margin. The Sox were down & out in the Bronx and then lost a heartbreaker to Baltimore, they needed a fire lit up their ass... enter the Feat of Clay EDIT: Phew thanks to good momentum and tubby Millar, the inning is done after Lester gave up 1 run. The Sox had thrown 18 consecutive scoreless innings
