  1. If they draft Reggie Bush, they're dumber than I ever expected. He's a fantastic player and I'd love him on my team, but they already have a very good RB. They need help elsewhere. A good RB is nothing without a good O-Line -- and there's is among the worst ever. As for the 49ers... why couldn't they just throw games like the Texans did? Ugh.
  2. I like 'em a lot. Though I like their other greens more. I'm all about the classic jerseys.
  3. I'm being told 'Melo had 25. Not bad with the cheap bastard that is Bruce Bowen on him and, I would assume, nobody else on the team capable of making shots.
  4. And the Nuggets loss! Talk about a roll! Though, I wouldn't feel right bitching about this one -- I didn't watch the game, nor have I seen the box score.
  5. Just changed the sig this morning. Haha. The skit gets funnier every time I watch it. "You can call us Aaron Burr for the way we're droppin' Hamiltons!" Best thing SNL has done in some time!
  6. True, sometimes I feel like the lone Kobe defender. Hell, I like him. It was awesome to see him elbow Mike Miller -- well deserved too. He takes a lot of cheap shots, glad to see him fight back for once.
  7. If he had gotten rid of Kobe, they'd have been getting rid of just as large a part of the Championships as when they got rid of Shaq. In addition, they'd be getting rid of a player that's a lot older and a lot more injury prone. Shaq played just as much of a part in the problem between the two.
  8. He'd be a hell of a QB if his line could keep him off his back.
  9. Exactly. Good point about Camby, too. Perhaps it'll make them a better team. I'd love to see Julius Hodge play. Can't hurt, I guess.
  10. Can't hurt at this point. I understand we're missing Camby, but this team has to learn how to win without him because Camby will out for a month. And Melo's been playing so, so good.
  11. Suprise, Suprise. 'Melo had 30, I believe, through about 2 and a half quarters and the Nuggets still managed to lose. The Sonics eventually figured out that they could put all 5 defenders on 'Melo, and the rest of the Nuggets would still be completely unable to score. Slight exaggeration. They've lost 9 games in which they've held a 4th quarter lead.
  12. Melo's starting to tear teams apart. I think he's growing into the player everyone thought he'd be. 32.8 ppg in his last 5. He's got 30 more tonight.
  13. I'm definetely pulling for the tie, now.
  14. Heh, I'm happy with the PG spot if it's just Earl Watson and Andre Miller. Miller is a really big contributor, as negative as I sounded about him. Definetely need a shooter, I would've liked Redd, but that ship already sailed. Can't fire Karl after what he did last season -- he's a great coach, I trust he'll get it together. I'd gladly take the GM job. I'm just frustrated, that's really all.
  15. I mean a guy that can shoot from absolutely anywhere. Just someone who can consistantly make open shots. Earl Watson is the only guy that can do it right now, and he's only a 32% shooter from 3 for his career, so he'll cool down. I hate Kiki more-so because he would've drafted Darco if he could've, and he passed up a chance to get Michael Redd. I love Andre Miller, but he seems to slow the ball down a lot more often than he should -- I don't think he's the right fit for a team built on running, which I guess the Nuggets and BzDelik were originally going for. I think that's an error on Kiki's part. It used to be that for as bad as the Nuggets used to be, they always seemed to try harder than any team in the league. They didn't have the talent, but you could see them put so much effort in... now it's the opposite, it seems.
  16. I don't know man... in the thin Denver air, if the Nuggets got the mindset that they were going to run run run and play like they did in the Doug Moe days, I think they could, except, like, Phoenix. I remember the image of Olajuwan sitting on the bench with an oxygen mask. I know a LOT of professional athletes have trouble with their stamina when they first get to Denver. I think it's Kiki and Karl. Kiki hasn't gone out and gotten a shooter... the Nuggets biggest problem. He's had his chances. He could've gotten Redd, he could've drafted a shooter, and he should've kept some of the teams leadership... ugh... and the fact that the team looks so unmotivated has to be the fault of Karl, I guess. It's frustrating. I guess after last year, they think they can just turn it on whenever they want.
  17. I'm frustrated to the point where I wouldn't care. I'm sick of watching a team with enough talent to compete with any team in the league put in so little effort. They, in Denver, can run any team in the league out of the gym, but they play sooo slow sometimes despite having no real half-court game. Or we should get rid of Kiki... actually, get rid of him anyway. If not for his ignorance, we'd have a shooter.
  18. 'Melo had 45 last night in a Nuggets loss. I'm really sick of this team and their half-ass effort, aside from a few players. I say keep 'Melo, Camby, and Earl Watson and get rid of the rest.
  19. You seriously picked a tie? I've never seen that before. You know how rare those are, right?
  20. Can anyone actually blame Kobe for being a "ball hog"? All his teammates are capable of doing are turning the ball over and missing gimme shots. If you ask me, Kobe passes the ball too much. If not for Kobe, this team would be competing with the Hawks for the best odds to win the lottery.
  21. Not even then. Sometimes I thanked god that I didn't live in Boston so I didn't have to listen to him speak.
  22. Like Riverside said... he pitches in New York as a Padre and he's cheered. The next season, he takes the mound as a member of the Red Sox and he's booed. My point is that it's not about the fact that he left, it's about where he went. In my opinion, that's just about the exact same situation.
  23. He goes anywhere but the Yankees and the posts in the thread describing it are all something to the effect of 'Thanks for your time, Johnny' and other sappy bull s*** like that... the difference is, he signed with the Yankees -- something he said he would never do. It's a slap in the face of the organization, his ex-teammates, and the fans. The same thing happened when Wells joined the Red Sox. I'm shocked that even you believe your simplification that it's just as soon as he leaves town. It's not that he left town -- check the threads, most of us saw him playing elsewhere next year. It's where he left to, and the fact that he soldout -- he betrayed the fans and team that made him.
  24. I love Darrell Armstrong. He's also the one that did a reverse layup in the slam dunk contest. I believe he missed his first two attempts, then backed up like he was going to attempt a free throw line dunk... and ended up doing a reverse layup.
  25. The only idea I can think of would be to track down some addresses, find 'em, and kick their asses Jay and Silent Bob style. We could also find a way to dig into their life savings. That may even make it profitable.
