Kuroda would be interesting. I don't put much weight on him as an acquisition, and don't really think of him has a significant move, more in the Jeff Suppan 2003 category. I know he's been good in LA, and I'd be open to counter-arguments.
He would be a true #4 or #5 addition for this club. That's factually what they need, but I think it is fair to say we had hoped for more.
As for Aviles, he may be a more polished version Navarro. It just seems like a weird thing to put so many years and games into Navarro to trade him for an older, potentially less talented version of himself. I like the cost-controlledness of it, but Aviles isn't particularly young (30). He may just be the Marco Scutaro/multi-position player for this club moving forward off the bench.
I would prefer that he be part of a deal somewhere else though.
