It looks like he's never hit before, doesn't it? He looks no more competent than Josh Reddick up there. If there are 2 strikes you can rest assured he won't work a walk, even at 2-2 or 3-2. Jesus.
Pedroia has been hacking and hitting high pop flies pretty consistently lately.
We know that the Sox are in the doghouse when it looks like Pedroia is helpless out there. He's suddenly David Eckstein.
What the f*** is Drew doing in the lineup? Has he done any rehab or anything? If not, has he just been faking an injury this whole time? If he's able to play, where has he been the last few weeks!!?!?!?
What the f***?
Time to brin gthis s***, Red Sox.
We've been hoping game after game to see some semblance of what we saw for most of the season, but it appears that is gone.
It's like someone stole their mojo...
Did something happen to this team? Did someone hold the entire team up at gun-point? Did their 30 Red Sox puppies all die in a horrible fire? Did their families collectively suffer some tragedy that none of us are aware of? They look shellshocked.
Truth be told, 4 runs doesn't seem like too much to me to overcome... if this team were a normal Red Sox team. The team that has been playing without bats recently is going to lose when down 1-0.
The saddest part is that the Yankees B squad is MUCH more motivated than the Sox A squad. They have a chance to play and prove themselves. The A squad is just deflated.
I love how the talk about the knuckleball is "when the knuckle doesn't knuckle" but for a bad slider or fastball it is just called a poorly executed pitch.
Wake should be accountable for his knuckleball.
