  1. No, we dont, actually. Cause its not true. It happens all the time. And against better teams than the D-Rays. Like coming back from a devastating 19-8 loss against the favored AL team. Yeah. Much cooler. You guys are shelling a pathetic closer with a 1-5 record and a 9.22 ERA. Whoo hoo. I could hit a homerun off of Harper, and Ive only got one hand. Pathetic.
  2. Nah, dont worry. Even if they win theyll be 3-5 against the Rays this season. We can still wave THAT banner in their faces.
  3. Frick! What does Harper think hes doing!? Intentional walk with two on and one out! Stupid Bernie Williams. Triple. NY 13, TB 11
  4. Dont worry, well be ok. Juicemans up to the plate.
  5. Final Score: Red Sox 9, Guardians 2 David Ortiz: Two homers, a sac fly, 4 RBI Manny: Homer! Shyeah! even good old unreliable Horny comes up with an RBI. We rock. Yeah.
  6. You said it, brother. You said it. On another semi-related note, has anyone noticed that 11 seems to be the Rays' magic number against New York?
  7. Manny is certainly on FIRE! And as for Ortiz, tonight puts him 1 behind A-Rod, now that Ive checked MLB.com. Shyeah!
  8. Its 11-7 Tampa Bay now....so much for 7-2. But damn, the Yankmes have had nothing but trouble against the Rays.
  9. Damn it all! I just got home from work and all I know is its 7-1....Can someone give me a breakdown of all 8 runs?
  10. The point is, you lost. A loss is a loss is a loss, and that goes triple against the Rays. The other point is, you guys have not done well overall this season against last place teams. You got schooled by the Royals, youve lost a series to the Rays...and will probably lose this one. The Yankmes need to not be so laxadasical when it comes to playing last place teams. You cant expect to coast through just because your record is better.
  11. Lets hope this new guy has murdered Alan and assumed his identity.
  12. Yes, because the Yankmes never start fights, or hit batters, or slap at Bronson Arroyo like sissies, or anything. Perfect gentlemen.
  13. Whatttt....what is this? That looks like Embree....but...but...theres...no runs for the Bucs...and only one hit! What has this pitcher done with the real Alan Embree?
  14. From now on, Zenny needs to make ALL game threads. Were 4 and 0 with an ERA of 3.50 when he starts em. Go Zenny!
  15. Whoa! Embree screwed up! And here I thought he was a quality pitcher... *vomit* Damn, even Myers as a lefty-batter pitcher couldve done better. Why do they even have the man in the pen anymore?! Wheres Timlin?
  16. I do. Im rooting for them in the Series this year. Actually, my no-longer-secret dream is to see a Wild Card Mariners and Washington Nationals Series this year.
  17. There was no sharpness. If not for Bellhorn and Mueller, hed've been the losing pitcher and a contender for "most pathetic balls out of 100 pitches"
  18. Get rid of Bellhorn, put Mueller on second where he used to be, and put Youk on third. Put Olerud on first and use Millar like theyve been using Olerud.
  19. We ALL know whats going to happen, no one wants to admit it is all. After wild card battles and a sudden spurt of winning for both teams, The Colorado Rockies will face the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 2005 World Series. They will fight each other tooth and nail through six one run games, until the final game, which will turn into a 14-inning epic pitchers duel between Byun-Hung Kim and Mark Hendrickson. Finally, in the top of the 14th, Todd Helton will crush a grand slam into the upper seats of Coors field, only to be taken down a notch by a 6-run 14th by Tampa Bay.
  20. If theres one thing the Sox's pitching staff is more awesome at than anything, its redeeming themselves. 6 K's
  21. Plus we all know my other team, the Bucs, rock. I mean, look at what they did taking 2 of 3 from the O's! Theyll do the same thing to the Yankees, mark my words. Everyone called the O's falling apart when they hit the NL... and everyone called the Yankees falling apart when they hit April. Im gonna have trouble knowing who to root for this weekend...I know Im going for the Sox when Clement's starting...but I have to go for the Bucs at least one game. :dunno:
  22. This is true. He played for my family's home team (Pittsburgh) and as far as I know hes the only Sox pitcher on staff with a HR under his belt. All I meant was Id expect some of his power at the plate to bleed away after so long as a pitcher.
  23. Impressive for an AL pitcher, thats for sure.
