  1. Finally, he found a wide reciever who can catch. I wonder if shes a tight end?
  2. Throw right, bat right, not that it matters because I cant hit to save my life. I only play with a bunch of friends, so whenever my turn in the order comes up, our pitcher hits for me.
  3. Hey, if it worked for Foulke, it should work for me.
  4. Whenever the Sox play, I murder a drifter with a hatchet and mix his blood with vodka. Then I strip naked, kneel on top of the biggest hill in town, smear myself in raccoon vomit and lime Jell-O and scream 'I AM THE LORD OF THE NIGHT!' at the top of my lungs. Then I drink the hobodka and ride down the hill in a Radio-Flyer wagon while masturbating with the head of a neighborhood child's teddy bear.
  5. 17-5, 3.44 ERA, 230 Ks
  6. I suck at hitting and pitching, the only thing Ive got going is playing catcher. Unfortunately, no one likes me to play because I have no offensive skills.
  7. If you had been here last fourth of July, you would know that it is obviously me.
  8. I dated a friend of Carl Pavano's neice. Never met him (he was probably at the doctors') When I went to Pennsylvania to visit family we went to a Pirates game, and I found out my cousin worked at PNC and knew a bunch of players. At a picnic later that week Jack Wilson showed up on my cousin's invite because he knew I was an MLB fan. He was pretty cool.
  9. The Orioles would like to have a word with you.
  10. I dont play baseball because I suck at it. I do swing both ways, though. (damn you YesZir for stealing that line first!)
  11. I hear Matt Clement became a pitcher...I think he was a BP instructor before.
  12. What about Miguel Cairo? Didnt they resign him?
  13. No, you cannot have another Super Bowl, New England. Not yours. 16 seconds left, Brady can make something happen...Brady is God, Brady is amazing, Brady can---INTERCEPTION! BURN! BURRRRRRRRRRN!
  14. Nixon is about the only player in recent years who has left the Sox that Id still give a standing ovation to if he were to have a gamewinning hit in Fenway. He just...deserves it.
  15. Did...did the Pirates just make a decent trade? Anyone?
  16. Normally, I would bemoan the Rockies losing more prospects (especially after dealing Ryan Shealy), but with the hopeful emergence of Baker, Tulowitzski, Spilborghs, and Ianetta, they seem to have a good stock of rookie talent for 2007. They stayed in the race till the All Star Break last season, with the addition of Taveras, Hirsh, Bucholz, Javy Lopez and Rodrigo Lopez and continued solid performances by Cook, Francis, Fogg, Atkins, Holliday, and surprise standout Torrealba, they should really be in a good position in a bad division this season. Of course, it helps if your franchise player gets people talking about a 'down season' when he -only- hits .302 http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070112&content_id=1778354&vkey=news_bal&fext=.jsp&c_id=bal
  17. I would root for players with Connecticut ties, but the only big-name one is...Carl Pavano.
  18. Basically all of the Red Sox, and then, Todd Helton Craig Biggio Craig Counsell Mark Loretta Eric Chavez Johan Santana Ichiro Suzuki Pedro Martinez Jason Bay Carl Crawford Alex Gonzalez Then there's a small group of players I love simply for their names: Ross Gload Chris Widger Quinton McCracken Lyle Overbay
  19. I didnt mean starting, I meant three days a week of late inning replacement to rest Cano, Mintekiwicvyiuthrshamsnwitz, A-Rod, or Jeter. (Cairo can play almost all infield, no?) or just a last-inning pinch hitter.
  20. Good move. Cheap, dependable and slightly above mediocre. Great guy to have around three days a week.
  21. Cook Francis Fogg Hirsh Kim or maybe Cook Francis Fogg Kim Hirsh
  22. Counsell officially signed with the Brewers last week. Hes very glad to be back in Milwaukee, and looks forward to competing for playing time. No, Im not a deluded fan of Craig Counsell, the unsung hero of two World Series, why do you ask?
