  1. I would put Fontenot on the plus side with Blanton.
  2. PS: Shoot Brian Cashman in the face. Add that to the list and the Yanks are a postseason lock.
  3. Oh. I was like, 'I'm a Rockies fan you son of a bitch!'
  4. What happened the last two times we faced the Angels in the ALDS? Oh, right. Three game sweeps. Anyways, I go Beckett, Lester, DiceK, Byrd/Wake
  5. The only players they have added since last seasonwho have had a seasonlong impact are Garza, Longoria, Bartlett, Hinske, Floyd, and a few others. Did anyone really sit down and predict that guys who are past their 'prime' (Floyd) or who never amounted to an everyday player (Hinske, Gross) or never really had an outstanding or even above average season (Bartlett) or guys like Fernando Perez, Willy Aybar, and pitchers like friggin Grant Balfour, unretired Troy Percival, Dan Wheeler, or anyone else would be enough to push this team from last to first and win 30 more games this season? I'd call it unexpected if not outright improbable based on the Al East.
  6. I'm going to have to go with the Padres, based on some of their talent and the conditon of their division.
  7. Now, I know that the odds against it are staggering, but I mean this poll as a way to facilitate some conversation about teams that don't get more than a passing mention around here. Of these ten teams, who I count as the worst teams in baseball, which has the best chance of a season much like Tampas', where everything seems to come together for an improbable playoff run? I have omitted teams that were very close to October this season (Houston, Florida, Arizona, Minnesota (mostly because those last two have a shot still), as well as several good teams that just were outplayed within a division, such as the Yankees, Jays, Cardinals, and suprisingly the Rangers who had no chance against an LA team that had the division from basically mid-May. So, who has the best shot at a monumental turnaround?
  8. f***ing Baltimore. 6 run eighth?
  9. Dustin Pedroia will steal your sperm, use it to artificially impregnate your wife, and then come back in 16 years to have sex with your daughter, all while you sleep.
  10. DUSTIN PEDROIA HAS SEX WITH YOUR DAUGHTER WHILE YOU SLEEP!
  11. Every time Howie Carr comes on WEEI the other team ties or goes ahead.
  12. I just wanted everyone to know that the message that I enclosed with the banning was 'AJ Burnett had sex with your mother'.
  13. Alright, screw it. After the 26 to 6 issue I was trying to avoid banning without consensus between myself and the other mods, but this is rediculous, especially in light of your failure to post anything reasonable or anywhere other than game threads. The comment about Wake and the ball that hit him just sealed it. I'm sick of you. Executive Decision time, jackass. Goodbye.
  14. Awesome. Oh and PS I will be at Sunday's game. Maybe I can trade tickets and go Friday to see the ceremony.
  15. I always try to find the positives in the pregame report, but...man, Cliff Lee is 22 and f***ing 2. I don't know. I smell a split series, unfortunately.
  16. Bay! Come on Lowrie come on Lowrie come on Lowrie come on Lowrie
  17. 2 outs on 4 pitches? Geez.
  18. Yeah, damn that Lowell and his inflamed, incredibly painful hip. What a douche. How about this? I'm supposed to really think before I ban someone and I've given you a couple days. You need to shut the f*** up or you're f***ing gone. I'm sick of this s***.
  19. Goddamn it, Kotsay up and 0 for his last four million.
