  1. Just like the Tek fight, I find myself at a loss to understand the releveance of incidents that happened over a decade ago. This thread was meant to discuss the s***** actions of a Yankee player during this season and how he seems to be getting away with a ridiculously light suspension. But by all means, please continue bringing up irrelevant actions by people who were not involved in this in any way. I'm pretty sure a Red Sox player sucker-punched a guy in a bar back in 1911 or so, that obviously means that we have no grounds to criticize Sanchez.
  2. I think a dozen useless posts in a single thread to start off is enough for me. You obviously joined with no intention other than to start an argument, so I am going to send you off with the opposite intent.
  3. Is it possible he is actually Gary Sanchez, trying desperately to justify his actions? I can understand a Yankees fan complaining about Tek's actions during that fight, but I can't understand anyone, even a Yankees fan, defending Sanchez.
  4. I'll give him a chance to post something of substance in a thread other than this one...
  5. All I see is A-Rod screaming "f*** you, f*** you, f*** you, f*** you, motherf***er, come on" and waving his hands at himself in the universal sign for "bring it". Then I see him and Tek going at each other at the same time. If screaming "f*** you" seven times in a row at someone while walking towards them does not make you at least partially responsible for the instigation of a fight, what does?
  6. There is video of Sanchez sucker-punching people and video of A-Rod and Varitek fighting face-to-face. Actual video. Now I know you're just trolling and don't even believe what you're saying yourself.
  7. A-Rod chose to attack someone who was wearing catcher's gear. They fought face-to-face. Sanchez repeatedly punched two different people who were pinned to the ground, unable to defend themselves and facing away from him. Two completely different situations. In fact, the only thing these two incidents have in common is a Yankees player making a really, really stupid decision.
  8. Kind of misleading, though. Sale and E-Rod haven't pitched in a postseason game yet, and Pom has only pitched in 2, and while he doesn't have a win, he doesn't have a loss either.
  9. I love random facts, so here's one: Benintendi is only the second Red Sox player ever (Rice was the other) with 5HR at Yankee Stadium in one season. Even Papi or Manny or Williams never did that. That's pretty cool. Of course, Williams and Manny weren't playing all their games in a Yankee Stadium where Peter Dinklage could hit a home run.
  10. I never thought I'd be okay with Doug Fister being the 4th or 5th guy in the rotation for the postseason, but I am. I'm not sure I'd want him pitching in an elimination game, in fact I'm sure I wouldn't, but he's honestly proven (to me at least) that he's capable of being the starter in game 4 or 5 in a 2-1 or 3-1 situation. I trust him more than I do any of the other options. Sale-Price-Pom-Erod-Fister is looking pretty good to me now.
  11. f*** UConn football, f*** it. I don't care how good or not good they are, I live less than a mile away from the stadium and what those games do to the traffic in this town is enough to make me want to nuke that entire f***ing field. Glad you're having fun though, I guess.
  12. I'm getting really sick of losing to the bloated corpse of formerly good pitcher CC Sabathia. It's like losing to Bartolo Colon or your drunken assistant HR director at a company pickup game. How the hell have this guy's ankles and knees not imploded yet?
  13. What are you talking about? They don't play the Tigers again this season.
  14. I seriously can't believe that you created an entirely new thread to ask me to move another unnecessary thread from the wrong forum. Can't believe, as in am literally unable to believe it.
  15. Well, I'm glad you're happy for me to move this, thanks so much for your contribution! We should definitely have some sort of thread dedicated to discussing umpires and umpiring issues, especially considering what an important part of the game they--what's that? We do?!
  16. My GT record is not fantastic this year, so let's go ahead and change that. E-Rod vs. Clevinger.
  17. Girardi's response to questions about Judge setting the record for consecutive games with a K: "It's not like we have a lot of people hitting very well." That might be the most beautiful thing I've ever read. If the most beautiful woman in the world showed up at my doorstep fully nude, I would say "Hey, babe, just wait one sec while I re-read this quote from the manager of the New York Yankees telling the media his team basically sucks."
  18. 4 runs is enough for me to be comfortable with Abad. Would have really preferred to put him in and save Kimbrel for the Cleveland series. Oh well. Let's just hope Kimbrel throws less than 20.
  19. Two hits for Brock Holt in one game? Truly, these are the end times.
  20. The Sox are beating the Yankees and still all you can do is snidely call out people that disagree with you? Take it to the Farrell thread if it's that important to you. Why s*** all over a GT by trying to instigate the rehashing of old arguments? Just be happy the Sox are winning, the Yankees are losing, the Yankees are probably going to lose, the Yankees suck. Just f*** the Yankees. Wait, what was I talking about? I forget. Anyways, suck it, Yankees.
  21. Devers being shown some respect. One of only two guys to homer in three straight games vs. the Yankees while 20 or younger. The other one was Babe Ruth. Pretty cool.
  22. To be fair, it could also have been a douchebag, a sonofabitch, or just some f***er.
  23. Imagine how different Red Sox fan's attitudes would be today if Dave Roberts had been thrown out by a few inches.
  24. Just win. Starters not announced yet on MLB.com. For the Yankees, it will probably be an *******.
