I honestly can't believe Scioscia is still the manager of this team. One WS appearance and a bunch of first-round and a couple second-round exits in the postseason, and a few non-postseason years, how has his job never even been in jeopardy?
I have to agree. I always liked patience at the plate but the aggressiveness they've opened this season with has had great results so far that I can't really argue with.
Uh-oh, MLB alerts just told me Otani's hand was injured. I hope it's not too bad, the guy is great for baseball and I'd hate to see him DLed for more than 10 days.
I love blowouts and I love the Yankees losing on the same day. I also love burying the Yankees in the standings really early in the season. There's still a lot of baseball to play, but I love that the rest of the division has to play from so far behind right at the beginning. It makes every victory sweeter.
I used to obsessively read about each team during the offseason. I don't know a lot about the minor leagues, but I always made sure to keep track of offseason movements. But I really slacked off on that this past offseason, because I had no idea Kinsler was on the Angels now.
Connecticut native Pollock with an awesome grab to preserve the no-no. The over/under on Thunder telling us Pollock went to the same high school is five minutes after the next time he logs in!
I agree with this upper-class gentleman from 1880's London, that is hogwash. Absolute pish-posh, good sir. Seriously though, I've never heard a Red Sox player say anything negative about Pedroia's leadership.
Who gave up the HR? Was is Andujar or Gregorius? Bad defense happens, if you're pitching well, you pitch around it. Tanaka sucked tonight and that's pretty much it.
Just read about Joe Kelly getting a standing ovation at the Bruins game amidst rousing chants of "Yankees Suck". Awesome. There is literally no place or time that that chant is not appropriate. That's what I want people reciting at my funeral. None of that Bible verse crap or speeches about what a great guy I was. (I wasn't!). Just "Yankees Suck!" as they wheel me down that conveyor belt into the cremation kiln.
So are a lot of other guys, but only a handful comparatively have perfect games. It just pisses me off that this guy basically flipped off the Red Sox while they were paying him and then somehow continued pitching despite looking like his shins should have imploded ten years ago.
Haha where did this come from? I'm following the game on Gameday while I do other stuff, so I assume this is due to something on NESN? Is he guest announcing or something?
The Sox beat up on Severino and Tanaka and scored a decent amount off of Gray. That bodes well for the rest of the season, I think, and it should put to rest the arguments from some people that the Sox were playing above expectations due to facing only Tampa Bay and Miami for the first 10 games.
