  1. Pirates have talent and pitching. With Duke and the Wilson's and that other lefty (I forgot his name...) They are good.
  2. The Red Sox have better than "good" hitting. Best offense in baseball. Oh and the Red Sox don't just get their runs aginst bad pitching, they also nail very good pitching. You have a decent point but the Red Sox are the exception to that "rule"
  3. No big deal, its cool. Im pissed that were down 0-2 and am backing up my fellow Red Sox fan. Thats all
  4. My bad, I got carried away and ran with it....... :dunno:
  5. Wade killed the Wizards in the playoffs without Shaq. But I see your point.
  6. Talking s*** now because you're up 2-0 huh? :thumbdown I thought you weren't here to pick a fight. Pipe down. Every team has bad fans, but Chicago's notorious for s*** like that.
  7. Home cookin' with Wake on the hill. Should be a great game and hopefully he pitches like Wells did today, but with defense this time. Papelbon in the rotation for a full year will be great, and hopefully we get to Game 5 and we get a preview.
  8. Yeah. 3 runs per game is NOT Red Sox like. We averaged something like (I don't know the actual numbers) 5 or 6 runs per game. We scored 901 this year! Geez, lets show it huh? Damn. But Wells pitched well enough to win. 2 ER in 6 2/3 wins alot of games. Other than him, our pitching hasn't been what it was or can be. Like I said, I miss Lowe, and Pedro. I know about our youth movement, but I thought we should have kept at least one. I don't see him getting in the way of developing our youth this year if he was in our rotation. But again like I said, thats fantasizing.
  9. LOWE. I was f***ing pissed when we lost him (Not as much as I was when we lost Pedro, but still), especially after his postseason performance last year. Clement is totally lost on the mound and Arroyo is too inconsistent. At least we know what Lowe goes out with, sinkers...LOTS OF EM. But this is fantasizing, and not reality.
  10. I personally don't like much ESPN has. Reynolds makes me sick, so does Brantley. Kruk is annoying at times and sometimes just plain dumb. Yes Johnny we need Boomer to come up big tonight. I personally feel pretty good about Wells pitching tonight, 6 or 7 real strong innings and I will be ecstatic.
  11. Willis.
  12. Jones. But YanksHater is right, Pujols seems to be so under-appreciated outside of St. Louis.
  13. Colon
  14. You like dunking, rebounding, and blocked shots? Amare Stoudemire is a poster waiting to happen. And the scary thing about him is he has only been playing basketball for 5 years in his WHOLE LIFE. 2 in high school and 3 in the NBA, which means he has been killing dudes on sheer athleticism and not a true knowledge for the game. Hes not even at his prime yet. He's still learning...that should scare people. Numbers? He had (I think) 10 or more 30 point playoff games and quite a few 40 point games. And if you wanted one qoute to sum him up heres one from Shaq...
  15. Yeah, I'm in that boat. I have school and basketball practice. I HATE this. It's irritating, but I'll figure out a way to see the games.
  16. And its seems like everyone is overlooking Garrett Anderson, if he hits at all behind Vlad...that could cause the Yankees problems.
  17. Heh. Each side has one thing the other doesn't. A-Rod's suporters have that he plays defense and Ortiz does not. Valid point, old but valid. Papi's supporters (which include me) have that Ortiz owns the world in clutch hitting, and A-Rod doesn't come close. Pinstripe Pride talks about Rodriguez's "amazing defensive plays" but all I remember is that ball rolling under his legs on Friday and reaching left field. Only play that sticks out in my mind. LOL To get back to Pintripes argument about taking A-Rod off the Yanks and where would they be. I think, personally they would be OK (the payroll over there is $200 million, they could easily fork out money for a Blaylock, or Glaus). But take Ortiz off the Red Sox and think about it, (don't forget Manny Ramirez has 45 HR's 145 RBI's this year with Ortiz in the lineup either in front or behind him) Manny would see less pitches, thus lowering his production. Resulting in the BOOM from Manny (like that? ) to disappear, and less power equals less runs, and less runs equals less wins (because of mediocre pitching this season) and less wins equals NO PLAYOFFS.
  18. I heard... Wells in Game 2 Wakefield in Game 3 Schilling in Game 4* *If necessary
  19. Tell that to your Yankee bandwgoning fanbase, then talk to the Sox fans. And remember where you are
  20. Yeah, seriously. And last years ALCS prob did the same to me. And now I see another brilliant ALCS again, looks like I'm dying at 50.
  21. Heh, and I can hear that any time I want on the World Series DVD's
  22. Welcome
