I know we need relief pitching desperately, but once Schilling comes back we will have Schilling, Wells, Clement, Miller, Wakefield, and Arroyo as our starters which isn't too bad.
I wouldn't mind getting that 1st baseman from the Rangers Mark Teixeira, Shea Hillenbrand from the Jays, or Justin Morneau from the Twins. Maybe even Frank Thomas from the White Sox, he is a little old but currently batting .333
The Sox draft Jason Determann from LSU in the 35th round. This guy is a complete stud but he is probally off to medical school next year with his 4.0 GPA. If Boston can convince this guy to stay this will be a huge steal to get him in such a late round. He is a Maddux type pitcher who doesn't throw extremely hard but mixes up his speed and pitches very well. He was mostly a reliever for LSU with saves and a 6-0 record with a 1.86 ERA. He recorded 72 strikeouts and walked only 9.
Couldn't come up with anyone better to put on that list than Albert Belle. I have had season tickets to LSU baseball games for years and I have never seen anyone act like he did. He went after a fan, cussed out fans, teamates, and opponents players&coaches. After weekend games the whole team stays after to sign autographs and he would tell everyone(including little kids) to f*** off or shut the f*** up most of the time and not sign anything. Real classy guy.....definate *******
Albert Puljos or Todd Helton will do.
Didn't the Rockies say that if he wanted to be traded they would trade Helton. I realize that we would have to clear up some salary room, but we could always trade for Millar, Embree, and maybe a minor leaguer
Would it be better to buy ticket somewhere in the bleacher sections along the 1st base line with possible obstruction or just buy some tickets in right-center field? How bad is the view in these tickets behind the fence in right-center field?
I respect Millar for standing up for one of his struggling teamates. No Red Sox player should be booed at home, I agree with the earlier poster who said we are starting to sound like the Yankees which is not good at all. This guy is obviously a great player but he is just in a slump. If the fans get behind him it may really help the guy out, because booing him is only going to bring him down more. Hopefully he will peek at the right time.
