  1. I know we need relief pitching desperately, but once Schilling comes back we will have Schilling, Wells, Clement, Miller, Wakefield, and Arroyo as our starters which isn't too bad.
  2. I wouldn't mind getting that 1st baseman from the Rangers Mark Teixeira, Shea Hillenbrand from the Jays, or Justin Morneau from the Twins. Maybe even Frank Thomas from the White Sox, he is a little old but currently batting .333
  3. I think the home team Nebraska takes it.
  4. Does anyone think the Pats will get rid of Rohan Davey anytime soon? Might be able to get something good out of the deal, he was MVP of NFL Europe.
  5. No chance he comes to the Sox, we need to make some trades but none involving starting pitchers, we are pretty loaded in that category
  6. Rickie Weeks is the man, I think that this is a good choice.
  7. The Sox draft Jason Determann from LSU in the 35th round. This guy is a complete stud but he is probally off to medical school next year with his 4.0 GPA. If Boston can convince this guy to stay this will be a huge steal to get him in such a late round. He is a Maddux type pitcher who doesn't throw extremely hard but mixes up his speed and pitches very well. He was mostly a reliever for LSU with saves and a 6-0 record with a 1.86 ERA. He recorded 72 strikeouts and walked only 9.
  8. Couldn't come up with anyone better to put on that list than Albert Belle. I have had season tickets to LSU baseball games for years and I have never seen anyone act like he did. He went after a fan, cussed out fans, teamates, and opponents players&coaches. After weekend games the whole team stays after to sign autographs and he would tell everyone(including little kids) to f*** off or shut the f*** up most of the time and not sign anything. Real classy guy.....definate *******
  9. How long will it be there? I will be in Boston in July
  10. That link is restricted for me at work can someone give me a quick bio?
  11. Todd Walker or Soriano
  12. Todd Helton at 1st and Damon in center, bring back Todd Walker at 2nd
  13. I feel sorry for the guy too, hopefully he can go on a tear towards the end of the season and at playoff time if not sooner
  14. I would trade Millar, Embree, and a minor leager for Helton
  15. I thought I remember hearing him say in an interview that he would not play for the Yanks and would retire before he did that
  16. I agree, not only a great player with a lot of heart, but definately a crowd favorite
  17. Albert Puljos or Todd Helton will do. Didn't the Rockies say that if he wanted to be traded they would trade Helton. I realize that we would have to clear up some salary room, but we could always trade for Millar, Embree, and maybe a minor leaguer
  18. or we could just keep Damon
  19. If we are getting rid of pitchers lets get rid of Wells and Foulke too, they definately are not putting up good #s either
  20. Would it be better to buy ticket somewhere in the bleacher sections along the 1st base line with possible obstruction or just buy some tickets in right-center field? How bad is the view in these tickets behind the fence in right-center field?
  21. I respect Millar for standing up for one of his struggling teamates. No Red Sox player should be booed at home, I agree with the earlier poster who said we are starting to sound like the Yankees which is not good at all. This guy is obviously a great player but he is just in a slump. If the fans get behind him it may really help the guy out, because booing him is only going to bring him down more. Hopefully he will peek at the right time.
  22. I think Wells has looked pretty bad all year, I say we send him packing and go after Ben Sheets or any of the Marlins pitchers.
  23. Gabe Kapler was one of my favorite Red Sox in recent years, along with Todd Walker.
