  1. He's not bitching now. Possibly because, unlike Meintlksjdljksd, Olerud is a ridiculously amazing player.
  2. Haha I voted for him gone too.
  3. I saw that this morning. Interesting stuff.
  4. Welcome to the boards! I'm Justyna.
  5. I don't know. I mean, yeah we won partly 'cause of him. But those guys also worked their asses off to win. So you can't say he's such a wonderful manager etc. For example, the Yankees are doing pretty badly now, I wouldn't say it's Torre's fault. The guy is a perfect manager. It's not always on the manager whether the team is losing or winning.
  6. Yeah. Look at the A's. They're first in the WC race and they don't make a lot of money at all. I don't think the money is as big a deal as some people seem to think.
  7. No they tried for that forfeit but they never got it. 'Cause TB was late coming back to Florida because of the hurricane, so Cashman demanded a forfeit but Selig obviously didn't give it to him. 'Cause that would've been ridiculous.
  8. Closer or a set up man. If he works as a set up man and Foulke can't be dominant, then give him the closer job. I mean, why not? Give him a shot and see how he does.
  9. That's pretty awesome. They figure they have nothing to lose and certainly don't wanna deal with a makeup they don't need instead of having a day off.
  10. I hope Hansen gets called up soon. He looks like he'd add some fire to our bullpen.
  11. Good for them. This'll help them no doubt. I'm surprised the Rangers put him on waivers to begin with. He's a great player.
  12. If this team is gonna win it in the postseason, they need Schilling. They need that Ace. I think everyone pretty much acknowledges that fact.
  13. He's being a good guy about this. It's not about him, his ego, etc. He's putting the team first. A lot of players today could learn from a guy like him how to go about things in a classy manner.
  14. Thank goodness. Hope we can do something towards a win today.
  15. I hope to God Millar isn't in the lineup. We need this game. The Yanks are looking to sweep and the ChiSox aren't doing much to help themselves against a sweep.
  16. Yeah. An ERA of 21.7 is horrific. Real real bad.
  17. But the fact is that it DOES cost us games. If not for his errors last night the score would've been 2-0 and we could've tied it. But as it turned out, it was 4-0. And his errors tend to cost runs a lot of the time.
  18. Yeah it definitely is his best year.
  19. God. Poor White Sox. And damn the Yankees.
  20. I doubt Damon is using steroids. Get serious. Clemens though, I wouldn't be too shocked.
  21. Um I'd much rather Wake as a starter since he's proven himself and I'd rather not have Tek catching him outta the pen, eek.
  22. That's such a sad thing to happen.
  23. He's Curt Schilling. I'd take him 80% healthy as a starter than any other starter who is 100% on a given day. The guy is THE big game pitcher of our times.
  24. Schilling will be the ace obviously.
