    Not singling you out here, but why do people still hold this ridiculous opinion? The guy is a baseball player. He was an employee of a business, not a life long Red Sox fan born in New England. He played here for 4 out of his so far 16 year career. If came up through the system and played here from 1995-2005 I'd say this sort of attitude is slightly warranted. Don't any of you say you would not take a longer, more expensive contract from a competitor of the business you work for after the one you currently work for low-balled you and thought you were in the decline of your career. You'd be bullshitting if you said you wouldn't take that opportunity.

    Pedroia will not be a HOFer. He's a good player, but I doubt he'll get into the hall of fame. Sox fans tend to really overrate him.

    When did I ever defend him? I never mentioned him in my posts, and for the most part I've completely ignored that guys posts in this topic. I'm talking from my own point of view. And no one is complaining about everything in life. Stop digging deep here.

    Yes I see your point about winning. It's great we did. It's not about finding the bad when it's not needed. Not everything is sunshine and lollipops. The entire point of sports is to have a team that performs to the best of their abilities and while this team is performing well Drew is not and that needs addressing. You don't let s*** slide because everyone else stepped up. And that Pedroia comparison is ridiculous. There has been plenty of concern surrounding him. We've all expressed it. No one is letting it slide. But no one is going to ridicule him like Drew because unlike Drew, Pedroia has a few medical issues but has still been able to perform at a higher level than Drew has.

    But it's pointless. In reality bitching/having concern about the team and it's players is a lot more relevant on a message board, and an actual contribution than always posting "stop bitching etc." posts. If you don't like what people are talking about you can just ignore it. Simple as that. SoxFanForsyth had a good quote that should be taken into consideration: "Show me a man that is satisfied, and I'll show you a failure."

    Why can't people discuss their concerns with something? Why do you always have to complain about people complaining? If you don't like what people are discussing you could just discuss something else with others or move on.

    So what if he has a higher OPS? Only reason that is happening is because Drew has walked more. Crawford has more hits, more Extra base hits, more runs scored, and more RBI's. Sure the OPS of Drew is a bit higher but that doesn't mean s*** when you aren't scoring runs or driving them in or doing anything. Even with Crawford's bad start he's been more valuable to the team and contributed more. And the "he doesn't play everyday" excuse is lame. Playing 6 out of 7 days a week shouldn't keep a major leaguer from getting into a groove. The dude is just plain bad. His career could be done.
