  1. Yeah, let him set up. but please don't let this go the way of Cla Meredith.
  2. Millar needs to be DFA'd as soon as possible. This is getting downright sickening.
  3. Next week is looking pretty good for us.
  4. Yeah, Papelbon is better then Miller so far, but Miller is still dealing with last years arm problem i think. He should of taken the whole season off. But Paplelbon is something to hold on to, and i like the way he is.
  5. There is an article on the red sox site about Youkilis where he says that he expects this and he is ok with it and plans to come back in September. He said he wants to play full time next year. I also read somewhere that Petagine may be the Starting first baseman against righties, and Millar against lefties. I guess Olerud is a late inning replacement and pinch hitter. That makes our bench really deep.
  6. Who the hell is John McDonald???? That should be enough of a message for them to realize this is done with.
  7. Looks like the schilling as closer experiment failed. Miserably. seems like he;s been used way too damn much.
  8. I'd go with Tek's. Sounds good.
  9. Guybo, way to be a hypocrite, saying in another thread that we shouldn't resort to childish name calling and we should grow up. Yet, i am a "dumbass" and "f***ing fool". Why bother? That right there shows you are less mature then me, and you are embaressed because your stats don't back you up. So what if Millar only has 4 errors at first base? IT'S FIRST BASE. Put Millar at SS and see how many errors he makes. I will be my life on it that it will be way higher then Renterias. Has Millar won 2 gold gloves? NO. Millar is not good at first base. He is less that average. He has no range there. It's almost a given that if there was a good first baseman there, Renteria's error total would be less. Millar is horrible in the outfield. He may not have much errors there, but that is because he never gets to much. He is slow and his arm is weak. Still, your stats mean absolutly nothing. You are trying to compare 1B to SS. Man, the only way to make this guy happy must be to have a team full of pokey reeses. Nothing but happy, light hitting, good fielding players.
  10. You lose. Millar plays only 3 position, LF, RF, and 1b, and he sucks at all of them. He is a liablity in any defensive area. Hell, he is a liabity at DH. Edgar Renteria can play 3b or maybe even 2nd if he was asked. He was even offering to move positions of Hanley Ramirez in the future. Even the hitting stats make you look like an idiot, Millar has a lower average, less home runs, less runs, less RBI's, maybe even a lowe SLG% too. Please shut up.
  11. That's it. I lost all faith in humanity. If people are this stupid the world should end soon because we have reached a new low.
  12. You think he can't do it? Darin Erstad did it. plus i think griffey played some games at first.
  13. Ken Griffey Jr.= our starting 1b. Konerko is overrated. Although he is, he's an upgrade over Millar so i'd take him. That's funny, the sox don't really have any good 1b prospects. Like, our starting AAA 1B is a 34 year old guy. Damn... But i'm sorta not joking about Griffey, i think he could cut it at first, and he would likely do it cause of his injurys. But that is a very long shot.
  14. Because by putting them on waivers now, they can have someone claim them, then they can take them off waivers and keep them, and if they want to trade them they can put them back on waivers and get the best deal for them. Something like that, i think. Someone will be able to tell you better.
  15. Wow, after watching this stuff on the delay showing kevin millars history in baseball, i wouldn't be surprised if he did steriods in the past. They showed him in the minors and independent league, and he was skinny. Really skinny. His legs and everything, even his freakin ankles. The only was he can get bigger like he is not is by being fat, which he is not, or by working out a hell of alot, or taking steriods.
  16. A Delay :-/ I hate delays. Hopefully it screws up el duque, cause that lineup is sorta weak..
  17. Oh god. Beating a dead and rotted horse.
  18. I agree. That Sheffield steriod thing is blown out of proportion. It's a freakin cream. How the heck is a cream going to make you that much stronger? Maybe i should get me some of that cream.
  19. Any pressure is all pressure. He'll probably feel the same closing for us as he did in college. hopefully. He doesn't seem like a derek lowe type of guy.
  20. Ortiz isin't on steriods. Have you seen him when he was on the twins? He was bigger. He lost weight in 03, and he has gained some back, but it's fat. look at his stomach.
  21. yeah, i had ASB 2004 and the A's stadium was pretty nice in it. I liked the future fenway too. But only 35,000 seats at that new stadium? That's not much. If they start to put together a few very big seasons soon then they will be complaining they need more seats and they need to expand, like the red sox are doing.
  22. Yeah 26-6, If he does that will be a HUGE blow to MLB. It would be insane if he did. He's like the most famous pitcher ever, something like that would just kill it for me.
