I find the Fidel Castro one really interesting. The thought that just not making a baseball team has changed relations between countires for years and might of caused a nuclear war is crazy. A few more what if's i came up with: What if Nomar was never hurt? Would the red sox have stayed the same horribly defensive team, no chemistry, and would of lost in the ALCS? What if Jason Giambi never used steriods? Would the red sox be the 2003 American League Champions? What if David Ortiz stayed the same .260, 20hr 70rbi player he was in Minnesota? What if the red sox had gotten Jose Contreas instead of NY? Could he have been as good as they say he would of, or would he have been just as bad?

But this is a different situation, in a way. If you hit a guy, most likely you were driving dangerously, so of course you would get that charge. Depends on the circumstances. But this, this was people celebrating, some getting carried away, and police were needed. It was a gun not ment to kill people, it was just crowd control. It happens. It's a sad fact though. I could understand charging someone if he shot a bunch of times at people, or he had a real gun and shot her. -
That Boone HR still pisses me off. I hate it. I can still remember going to sleep when they had the lead late in that game, right before the grady f***up, thinking they were gonna win game 7, then i wake up at 3 in the morning and put on ESPNnews and the first thing i see is that f***ing home run. I punched the t.v and cried. yes, i cried. I'm man enough to admit that i cried over a baseball game.

It's dead for me. Well now. Yesterday when the red sox lost i didnt feel as angry as before, and today watching the game i couldnt get as pumped up as perviously. I guess when it comes to the playoffs i'll get back to the old way, but for now its just another team to me, no different then watching them play Kansas.

Wow, at the game today when i was about to enter gate A, there was a black family, all wearing schilling tshirts directly infront of me. i didnt count them all, but it was a guy, a woman, and alot of kids. Was it that family? When i saw them i got excited, i told my cousin omg i think thats the family schilling is taking care of. lol -
Yeah, it's starting to get bad, and i try not to get into it, even though i tend to get into arguements easily. Only thing that bothers me is the extreme amount of yankee fans on here. I am starting to feel like i am visiting a yankee forum, and it's annoying.

Trading Manny would be a huge mistake. HUGE. Konerko might have nice stats, but most of his home runs are solo and he doesn't hit in the clutch. Griffey would be useless. A left handed hitter in his mid 30's with declining power and injury prone in the outfield? No. He wouldn't hit as many home runs playing at fenway with that uppercut flyball swing he has now. He'd become another Trot Nixon for us, which is good, but not good enough to hit behind Ortiz. There's no other good possibilities. Losing Manny would make us like a 90-72 team.

They are probably gonna have a bunch of the guys they called up play in it. They are really ahead in the division so they probably don't want to use there guys too much, while the sox need to, so they can gain half a game or whatever.

White sox have slowed down lately, and there hitting isin't too powerful. Hopefully he does good, but i am not going to expect anything.

Good points. I just hate the way teachers here and picketing and threatening to leave because they are underpaid and it's stressful. It's pretty stressful on us too. Very stressful. I don't normally throw this out in the open, but it got stressful for me to the point that i nearly dropped out and i was on anti-depressants. That only lasted a short time. But all that matters is that i passed, and hopefully i can graduate this year.

Most of them are plain stupid. I had a geometry teacher last year, fresh out of college, who didn't know what she was doing. Most of us had to tell her how to teach us certain things. Most of the teachers i have had since middle school have done nothing but whine about how they don't get paid enough (600 dollars a week is the starting salary for a brand new teacher.). It's not too bad here, but bad enough that i can say that through my first 3 years in high school, i have had maybe 3 teachers who explained things well enough for me to get and have run a good class. My school is also considered the best in the city, which scares me.
