  1. We have enough pitching without giving a shot to someone who is 45
  2. I'm thinking about buying the NESN DVD on the 04 Red Sox. Has anyone seen this? Are there highlights from all of the playoff games? Thanks. http://www.tenmayflower.com/index.cfm?page=redsox
  3. Just because the writers doesn't like him should not even be a factor. Put aside the BS bias and judge him by his stats.
  4. I don't mind. Someone needs to "stir the pot"
  5. He said he is "convinced" the ankle will be OK but he's not sure about his arm. I would be thrilled if he is back that soon to face RJ. That should be fun to watch.
  6. He will sign with the Dodgers. Lowe, as you know, was the winning pitcher against the Angels, Yankees and Cardinals and had a fabulous postseason. I wish him the best.
  7. Former Boston Red Sox catcher Bill Haselman was hired as the team's bullpen coach on Thursday, replacing Euclides Rojas. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BBA_RED_SOX_HASELMAN?SITE=NYBIN&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT
  8. I made the edit.
  9. According to this website Carlos Beltran will accept a 7 year, $112 million dollar offer to join Pedro Martinez on the Mets. http://mets.nyfansites.com/
  10. He should be ready for spring training. Hit the link: http://www.boston.com/dailynews/005/sports/Ortiz_says_he_is_recovering_fr:.shtml
  11. Boggs to the HOF is a no brainer. Anyone who wins that many batting titles and tops 3,000 hits deserves it.

  13. The NESN tape is excellent! Here's a link to order it: http://www.tenmayflower.com/index.cfm?page=redsox
  14. I thought this deal was dead last week but King George always seems to find a way. I don't care. In fact I look forward to kicking his ass and his 200+ million dollar payroll again :harhar: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1954122
  15. I don't have it either. I live in upstate NY Maybe I can find someone to tape the games for me.

  17. My only regret with being a dad is waiting until I was 38 to do it. I love every minute of it
  18.
  19. It's been a great year for me. My daughter was born July 1st and the Red Sox won the Series on October 27th. It doesn't get any better than that
  20. I'm trying to find out but I assume it is based on payroll, with bonuses included. Did the bonuses push us over the limit? I need someone who is good at math to figure that one out
  21. That must be the "yankee math" in which a dollar amount eight times greater is actually the same amount
  22. The Boston Red Sox got an extra bill after winning the World Series. Boston and Anaheim must pay baseball's luxury tax along with the New York Yankees, according to final figures compiled by the commissioner's office. The Yankees are required to pay $25,026,352, according to a Dec. 21 memorandum that was sent to all major league teams. Boston owes $3,155,234 for exceeding the payroll threshold of $120.5 million and Anaheim got a bill for $927,059. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BBO...EMPLATE=DEFAULT
  23. If Miller comes back from the rotater cuff injury, if Wells back holds up, if Schilling only misses a few starts then we'll be in good shape. I love the bullpen with the additions of Halama and Mantei.
  24. Wells beating the Yankees would be sweet!
