I disagree, because we pitched our scrubs after Small left. You guys have the same problem. Actually we our better off because of Leiter, Sturtz, Gordon, and Mo. You do you have Timlin. You do realize we are tied for first in the lost column, and you guys don't play well on the road. -
`All's i know is that I feel a lot better about this year then I did earlier.

Wow I understand your a little upset, but the yanks don't suck. it still may come down to the last weekend, but I think the Yanks taking the series last weekend may be what defines this race. I not getting my hopes up, but I can still sleep soundly tonight. -
Well they are tied for homeruns, A-Rod has a better OPS, the only advantage Ortiz has is RBI's. Plus A-Rod plays the field. I can see the argument for both sides, but they have both been clutch this year. Look at last night 2-run shot makes the Yanks lead by two and they never looked back. 1st game against the Sox in the 4 game set at Fenway against Schilling, boom Yanks go up by two and never look back. A-Rod has been consistent all year even when the Yanks were struggling and his defense was sub-par and he fixed that. He's only made 11 errors all year(he made 13 last year). Ortiz won't get it because of two things-1) he doesn't play defense 2) Manny will take some votes away from him. Let's face it if Manny wasn't playing for the Sox, Ortiz wouldn't be as good as he is. He sees good pitches to hit because you don't want him to get on base for Manny, who in my opinion is a much better offensive weapon for the Sox.

He's actually won a few games with his defense. Sorry clutch hits are not a stat in baseball. Plus A-Rod has been playing good all year, despite 11 errors he's been MLB player of the month twice this year. He's had one game with 10 RBI's, plus he OPS is higher than Ortiz. I'm sorry ortiz is half a player. All he does is hit.

Well I guess if this thread is directed at me, I guess I'll post. First off, great baseball game today. I hate and love games like that. My heart was in my throat all game. The yanks are not out of it. If they would have lost today then yes, the yanks would be done. Schilling to give him credit pitched well, but I still think he's a pompus ass you likes to get attention. He's still a media whore and still opens his fat ass mouth. Its not because he pitches for the Sox(although that amplifies it) I have hated him his whole career. Like I said great game today. great game if you win and dishearting if you lose. Luckliy we came out on top.

I meant the same O'l Schilling since he's been back from the DL. I can't help myself I can't stand the media whore so when he falters I love it.

Actually it was because of Curt. He threw pitches and the White Sox hit them to score. Your offense had nothing to do with it, you were just dominated by a superior pitcher who shut down your bats. I'm sorry to me you can talk all you want and as much as you want him to be great again, he wasn't. He was good for the first 3 or 4 innings, but then we saw the same o'l Schilling in the middle innings.

That's funny because last time I checked you have terrible starters except maybe Wells, and your bullpen is in shambles. I'm not predicting the Sox will falter you have a great hitting ballclub, but you have no right to criticize another teams pitchers when you have big problems of your own.

Why do you guys still think Giambi is on steroids? Do you really think think he would be stupid enough to still do them, when he was the only who admitted to doing them. They probably test him more than anyone. He's a amazing hitter.

He has a good on base percentage. He's not a terrible infielder. Ya know maybe a change of scenery is what he needs.

I have to admit I didn't really like the embree signing. he was good at holdong down the Royals in that comeback game. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though, there still the f***ing royals. I like the Bellhorn signing, he gives us depth and can hit for power. Yes he is a strikout guy, but if we can slide him into a position with protection he'll get fat pitches to hit. we'll see hopefully it will help us, I dunno.

this discussion won't get anywhere on here. Yes A-Rod's stats are impressive this year. but sox fans are not gonna say A-Rod will win the MVP and Yank fans are not gonna say ortiz or Manny will win.

Why because you beat a struggling team 3 games in a row. We just had two come from behind victories from the best bullpen in the league. I would't boast if we were down by a run or two, but in both games we came from 4 runs down.

The angels wern't struggling when we faced them last week. They just ran into the hottest team in baseball.

I'm glad that Clement is O.K. Plus the yankees took the series against the Twins. We just couldn't score on Santana. We were about 3 feet away from tieing that game anyway. We will take the angels series. We probably won't sweep because of Saturday. The Angels are really struggling they've scored only 5 runs in the last 4 games.

Glad to hear he's O.K. That was pretty scary. Are the Sox gonna skip his next start just for good measure?

Yeah I don't understand why we have so much trouble with the Angels. We still had a very good roadtrip. Would have been a little better if we had one one more game, but going 6-5 against the Sox,Rangers, and Angels on the road is not too shabby.
