  1. You guys have to be out of your freaking minds. Jeter a punk ass, whatever. If anyone is a punk ass its Pedro, or Manny, or Schill, those guys can't keep there mouths shut. I have to admit Manny has gotten better.
  2. I have to disagree Schill is a bonehead. he's a hell of a good pitcher, but he's a bone head. It wasn't Bush League. All A-rod was trying to do was to try to win the game. i don't think he was wrong. he was wrong for protesting it because I knowe he knew he was wrong, but its the same as trying to knock over a catcher at home plate. Schilling is a idiot. He should have kept his mouth shut.
  3. I too like to extend congratulations to the Sox and their fans. I hope they win so the curse can go away, Oh wait s*** I forgot the Cubbies, oh well maybe next year. I guess Nomar is kicking himself now. It was a hell of a series and I am still proud of the Yanks. Sometimes it just doesn't work out like you like sometimes. You guys have waiting a long time since '86 for another chance and I hope thay can clinch it, i really do and I mean that. Even though I hate the Sox. Well at least I got one thing going I really hate the Braves and they didn't make so, there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. And as a Baseball fan I think the NL will win it and I would have said that even if the Yanks won. I just think the NL has the better teams this year. Well I'll end this with one last desperate cheer....GO JETS!!!!!!!!
  4. Yes its the biggest choke of all time I will be the first to admit, But its hard to throw 26 World Championships away like that, if the Red Sox have won that many your point may be valid. Yes they did the biggest choke and will be laughing stocks, but they are professionals and will brush this off and be back next year.
  5. No I will always be a lifelong yankees fan. I hope the Red Sox do win the series, so all of this curse talk will belong to the Cubs. The curse is not over until the Red Sox win the World Series. Its gonna be tough against the NL. Here's the thing if they win they have to be consisitent with it like the Yanks have been.
  6. Congratulations I hope they win the World Series so the Red sox can be just a reglar team so we can keep this curse mess up to the cubbies. They will have a tough one against Houston or St. Louis both are very tough ballclubs. Yanks will be back in the thick of things in '05.
  7. well Its kinda one sided asking for a poll like this on a Red Sox fan site, but then again I guess it would be the same on a Yankee fan site.
  8. point of this thread is its a toss up. I'm a huge Yankee fan and I will be the first to admit it that the Yankees blew it tonight. I don't really count games 4 and 5 as they blew it because they were so close, but tonight they did. With how this series has been who knows what will happen. Alls i can say both Yankee and Red Sox fans can agree on one thing we are all extremely nervous.
  9. Just rememeber it ain't over
  10. ********, if the Red Sox ever win the World Series Boston would be burned to the ground.
  11. Congradulations to the red sox they beat the Yanks fair and square. The only feeling of comfort is that their is a 7th game and it wouldn't be a classic Yanks-red Sox series without the 7th game. Now it gets intresting.
  12. Well I'll give ya one thing Sarasoxfan. You are a Red Sox fan. I just hope you are not setting yourself up for another dissapointment. Ya know one day The Red Sox will win it all and they'll say that that red Sox team is the greatest team in history just remember one thing. World Series Champions Yankees=26 Red Sox=3 (and all before the 20's) Red Sox bullpen is not fine, they are tired even Wakefeild was qouted as saying it took all that they had just to win both games and there just lucky to get to a game six. Sounds like to me there's nothing left. I don't care what there saying about Schilling, he's hurt and he's not the same pitcher he was before this series. He may pitch better then game one but, he's still injured and even with the boot he can't have the same velocity. ya know it looks like it may be another rain delay. i have to stick up for the Yanks in this board
  13. "You have to be kidding me. The Yankees easily could have won this game no problem. Our leadoff hitter could not even get a bunt down or even get a solid hit. The Yankees have choked the last two games and with the shape of their bullpen they dont really have much of a shot unless lieber goes 7." Yes you are right the Yankees could have easily won both games, but so could Boston they could have easily won games 1 and 2. So I don't want to hear that. Our leadoff hitter is in the same boat as yours he hasn't gotten anything going when it comes to hitting either. Whatever shape the Yankees bullpen is in it is not has bad of shape as the Red Sox bullpen is. After the last three games at Fenway their bullpen was better but I think if it came down to switching pitchers in and out like the last two games the advantage would have to go to the Yankees. Don't worry Lieber will go seven. Flash in the 8th, Mo in the 9th.
  14. That is true both games were demorilizing, maybe to their fans, but not the team. They have been up and down all year and still managed to pull it out down the stretch. What a lot of Red sox fans fail to realize is that these games were close ones, not blow outs. They bothed played hard and more likely than not the home team usually wins with these because they have last at bat. If the roles were reversed the Yankees would have won both games probably. Its a lot harder to get the lead in the 14th and then go out and play 3 more outs without the other team scoring or tieing the game. Ya know what ever the outcome is its been a hell of a series, hell its been a hell of a post-season for both leagues and whoever wins(which the Yankees at home they'll pull it out) both of these teams have nothing to be ashamed about. I have been a Yanks forever, born in Jersey and have liked them in the 80's so i am a true fan. If I could have my way this year it would be a Yankees vs Phillies World Series, because both teams rock.
  15. They'll win they got their hottest pitcher pitching tommorow JOHN LEIBER, who's already at home sleeping, and I hate to say it because I have all the respect for Curt Schilling (who should have went back to Philly) he's hurt !!
  16. They just wanted to win this series at home.
  17. Will never happen, even though the Sox won last night the amount of energy they expended to do it tells me that they fought and they fought hard but, I think too little too late.
  18. Even if Pedro pitches good, you better hope he pitches a full 9 inings, because I don't think the Sox bullpen is up to the task, after 2 games of long releif they have to be tired and even if they use wakefeild he is not the same pitcher he used to be either, I think the Yanks clinch tonight and watch in New York who they'll play. Still hoping for a Astros vs. Yankees series.
  19. Yea got hand it to the Sox, they just could not go queitly into the night. Well, they are just post-poning the inevitable.
  20. 4-3 Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo-Hoo!!
  21. I hate to say it. I never thought the YANKEES could sweep the Red Sox. I said if the Yanks win Game 3 that they are gonna sweep, so let's go Yanks. Hoping for a Astros vs. Yankees series.
  22. I think the Yanks celebrate on Fenway tonight!! I have all the respect in the world for the Red Sox after what they did in the regular season coming back within 2 1/2 games of the Yanks and sweeping the Angels. But, after last nights thrashing I think Boston ship as sailed for this season. i for one being a Yankee's fan that Boston does win the whole thing some day, so we can get this curse and 86 years of no World Series pennant talk over with. I would be lying if I said last night wasn't special beating the Sox's like that.
  23. Yea if it gets that far. I don't expect it, but what will fenway do if there's a sweep and the people who have game 3 tickets and there is no game?
  24. good reply red sox rooter. Real good reply
