  1. Unbelievable what happened. I'll say this though. It doesn't excuse her behavior in any way, but being called for a foot fault in that spot... Unfortunately, there is a good chance that she would not have been the only player on tour who would have reacted that way. Obviously it's a moot point because it was her, and no one else. It was just a really bad situation all together.
  2. Fair. I mean, we have Yankee fans coming on here comparing this team to the 1998 team. That's way past the point of even being a homer.
  3. lol, playing for one run in the first inning against the Orioles. Brilliant. EDIT: And, once again, AJ looks shaky early. EDIT 2: And everything is in the middle of the plate. But, thankfully, Joe played for one run.
  4. The starting rotation, outside of Sabathia, is very shaky. It's a crapshoot when Burnett takes the mound and Pettitte is due for a regression.
  5. They're saying they might have a window starting a 2 PM, but they really don't know. It's raining pretty good here in NY. For what it's worth, there is no guarantee that the conclusion of the Nadal-Gonzalez match will be televised. They are likely going to play it at the same time as Williams-Clijsters, if it ever gets started today.
  6. Absolutely. I have him either sixth or seventh (between him and Bill Dickey).
  7. Very nice. Have a good time.
  8. Looks like they're determined to finish tonight, no matter what. You headed to any games rsr?
  9. And the players are now coming off the court.
  10. Unfortunately. 3-2 Nadal in the tiebreak. Gonzalez on serve. They seem to think it's going to be quick.
  11. Oh man. Terrible miss by Gonzo. I wonder if that was the wind... EDIT: And Gonzo breaks right back. EDIT: Dammit. They said another shower was coming, but it's really too bad it had to come in the middle of a tiebreaker.
  12. Tiebreak. Here we go. Big moment for your money, Crespo.
  13. It's actually an enjoyable debate, in my opinion, to compare him with other players of the past.
  14. Well, like you said, Nadal's serve doesn't have the same power as others, but he has a fantastic kick serve. And that is the problem with the conditions. Huge break for Gonzalez. EDIT: Great hold by Gonzalez, but he really got a huge break. He was on the ropes during the third break point, before the bag blew across the court.
  15. Wow! Gonzalez really screwed that up, but those were a couple of incredible gets.
  16. What do you mean? You think he was faking it?
  17. Nadal just missed two pretty easy volleys at the net, especially the last one. EDIT: Nadal looks fantastic on his serve. And he finally gets an ace.
  18. rsr, who are you rooting for? As a Federer fan, I really want him to have another crack at Nadal in a grand slam final.
  19. Doesn't seem like Nadal's injury is playing a big factor so far (since play has resumed).
  20. This isn't fair. How do you know how good a centerfielder Combs was? There are plenty of observers that will claim that Derek Jeter is an excellent defensive shortstop. As for your list, A-Rod has not played here long enough. Jeter is better than Munson, and not just because of the years. Jeter's numbers, overall, are better.
  21. I think the two favorites are going to win. If I were betting, I would have more confidence in Del Potro.
