  1. I'm fine w/ it. Its a part of baseball and if hes letting it get to him, which looks to be the case, then he is doing nothing but proving them right. I dont think it highlights anything. The Yankee players hardly ever let anything leave the locker room and leak to the press. Its hard to tell whether they support him or not. But I think that they all understand the situation. The situation whether some fans can accept it or not is that A-Rod isnt going anywhere. There are only a handful of teams that can afford him and there is no way the Yanks can get anything back for him. IMO A-Rod can fix alot of his problems just by loosening up and not take everything so seriously, hopefully that doesn't happen, b/c he's the type of player who can carry his team on his back (just not past the 6th inning). Nope, they probably wouldnt listen anyway since most the people in the stands Booing are s*** canned to begin w/
  2. I usually don't take shots but Francona should have put Delcarmen in instead of the human white flag Tavarez. At least if he put Delcarmen in and we lost I would have felt better than seeing Tavarez in there and counting down till the blowup.
  3. last 3 hitters have hits against curt
  4. wow 74:26 strike to ball ratio for santana
  5. OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN Jeez, that got out quick.
  6. Oh yeah, defenitely, too bad our offense is up against Johan Santana.
  7. how many pitches is santana at?
  8. Yep.

  10. No, I think this is why. http://adamwlad.tripod.com/redsox_yankees/images/varitek_arod2.jpg
  11. Maybe Schilling (and Beckett) can go one Road game without giving up a HR.
  12. Ha...remember when the Southeast Division and Eastern Conference was soooo bad. I thought they were all about NASCAR down there, and now back-to-back Stanley Cup Champs. Git-R-Done.
  13. No doubt, it will, but it is someone's personal descision and if they choose not to they will deal with the consequences. You shouldn't be forced to wear anything if you don't want to.
  14. ughhh i just traded him from my fantasy team for escobar
  15. I doubt it will be Tavarez since he is the only one with a two year deal. Salary owed (for cutting/releasing purposes like Embree last year) Tavarez--6.7M (includes both years) Seanez--2.1M Riske--1.80M Foulke--7.25M +1.5M buyout (8.75M total) Timlin--3.50M Hansen makes 1M/year and Delcarmen, Dinardo, Lester, Pauley, Alvarez, Papelbon, Van Buren, etc all make the minimum 326,000/year. Tavarez got that 2 year deal because of his past accomplishments. When he is asked to start an inning and only pitch 1 inning, he has been great. When he is asked to mop up after Seanez and all of his walks/mistakes, then Tavarez does poorly. When he is asked to pitch more then 2 innings Tavarez struggles with that as well. He has had a long and successful career, I wouldn't be so hasty as to throw him away. I would be more inclined to say goodbye to Seanez first, then Foulke. Riske is the same as Tavarez, pretty much, he needs to start an inning clean. If you look at the last couple of years, if not beyond that, all of the relievers we have had, have done a terrible job coming into a game with inherited runners on base. I don't know why that is but last year we were one of the worst in all of baseball, in regards to inherited runners scoring. Even Timlin was pretty poor at shutting other teams down. I wonder if it's a MENTAL thing with the whole team?
  16. I just watched the video and man that motorcycle is seriously messed up. He's lucky if he only has a concussion from this. We should all hope he's ok, regardless of what team you root for. I'm not in favor of legislation to make wearing a helmet required but you are insane to not wear one. Anyways, Ben should be out of surgery now; he went into the OR at 1:30pm and the surgery was expected to take 4-6 hours.
  17. its the Steelers website but they have Ben traveling when a vehicle coming the opposite direction turned left in front of him, Ben was unable to stop and hit the passenger side of the vehicle-sent him flying up and into the windsheld Looks like the steelers have a Winslow on their hands.
  18. Czechs are a good side but I wasn't expecting 3-0. It looks tough for USA now because I just watched Italy and they looked great in the first half. They were my pick for the final and they looked like they could do well based on today's evidence. USA need to throw caution to the wind and just go for it against Italy later in the week.
  19. schilling vs santana on tues....bad feeling about this one we miss liriano for this series
