  14. #1 was obviously "I dont know if i can think of a scenario more enjoyable than making 55,000 people from New York shut up" heres his 2nd best: " When asked about the Yankees, the out-spoken right-hander said "who? Are they in first, or behind us? We don't worry about teams in 4th place behind us, we will catch Baltimore and then build a lead. I don't think those guys (Yankees) have recovered from last year, people talk about us feeling the effects of last year but I don't see it, look at them, it seems like a different team day in day out over there. Schilling went on to add "When we had the 25 hits or so, I think it crippled thier year, it reminded them of last year, of what we are capable of and what we can do especially in thier House, the fear-factor or whatever you guys call it doesn't effect us, it's like a home game there with all the fans, that weekend we wanted to remind them just who they were playing and reinforce what we did to them in the ALCS." He also criticized the Yankee off-season moves Look everyone knows we went hard at Pavano and whatnot, but they got him and we got Clement and you guys all jumped on thier bandwagon and anoited Pavano thier Ace, how about now guys? Still think Clement was a 2nd place prize?" just reading what some people on the YES boards thought about this and all i have to say is WOW!!! they were all piling up on a red sox fan... im not sure if this is a legit article because it has too many grammar mistakes. I just copied it off the YES boards and you know how they are. also they didnt provide a link...

  16. finally a decent showing by embree!!!!!
  17. yeah Zenny, if we lose this game its your fault. thats why we lost last night too.
  18. my bad, just found it on some rumor site...
  19. I know Kapler isn't the best player in the world; but he knows his role as a 4th outfielder off the bench and a clubhouse presence. Plus, I think the guy really enjoyed playing on a winning team in Boston. It would be great if Theo could trade Payton for a lefty arm out of the bullpen and plug Kapler back into his old 4th outfielder slot. Kapler was deactivated by the giants...could we just trade kapler for payton? hahhahaa...then jay could play every day
  20. While most Pettitte-watchers were eyeing Houston on Tuesday, where the Yankees' free-agent left-hander was meeting with Astros' GM Gary Hunsicker, the most intriguing news came from Boston. Randy Hendricks, one of Pettitte's agents, told the N.Y. Daily News the Red Sox have inquired about Pettitte and "are very interested." Also, Peter Gammons is hearing that Escobar is expected to make a quick signing decision. Anaheim, Boston and Philadelphia are among the teams in the bidding, but the Angels may be the leader at this point. The Blue Jays had hoped to re-sign Escobar and even have a two-year deal for $10 million still on the table. But Tuesday the team signed Pat Hentgen and acquired Ted Lilly, all but sealing Escobar's departure.
