Shoppach, Hansen, Dinardo ready to be called up. Delcarmen, Perisho, Malaska and Hanley Ramirez are under consideration...
Why not just call them up...Pawtucket is not going to the playoffs...(Hanley might stay for Portland playoffs.)

Call-up plans made
The Sox also had a long meeting yesterday to talk about callups on Sept. 1 -- and thereafter -- when the major league rosters are expanded beyond the current 25-man limit.
In some cases, the Sox will let players remain in the minors until the minor league seasons are complete. In others, the promotions will be made immediately.
"We don't want to create havoc" with affiliates, Francona said. "At the same time, we've got a responsibility" to help the parent club.
Set to join the Sox Thursday are lefty Lenny DiNardo, Double A righthander Craig Hansen and Pawtucket catcher Kelly Shoppach.
DiNardo, who has been both a starter and reliever in Pawtucket, will probably get a start Friday, taking the place of David Wells, who is expected to have to serve his six-game suspension.
Wells still hasn't heard from MLB about his appeal earlier this week, but the Sox aren't expecting much in the way of a reduction.
A handful of other minor leaguers -- including Manny Delcarmen and lefties Matt Perisho and Mark Malaska are under consideration, as is Portland infielder Hanley Ramirez.
Also, Foulke is schedule to begin his rehab at Lowell today. Good Luck and get here fast.
