  1. OK, well my friends and I were having a quick debate of best baseball players of all time with one of my dad's friends who's a true baseball historian. Thought you guys might like this. **We were both only allowed to choose players we saw play. **He could not choose anyone who played after the early 80s. **I could not choose anyone who played before the mid 90s (when I started watching baseball). **We could only choose 1 player from each infield position, 3 OFs, 1 DH (any position), 2 SPs, and 2 RPs. what would your old school and new school teams be?
  2. Tampa or NY ... idk who to root for... can I hope for a tie?
  3. Was there any doubt that Jacoby would of made that catch?
  4. Yes, we did.
  5. Looks like the Tribe is getting Matt LaPorta and minor-league pitchers Zach Jackson and Rob Bryson and a fourth player, perhaps minor-league third baseman Taylor Green. http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/default.aspx
  6. The Yanks are in trouble, plain and simple. Unless they trade the farm and Cano I don't think they can get the pitching they need. Being realistic I think Boston needs to add a bat, the trouble is where? Tek is struggling, Manny is struggling, Papi is down and who knows how effective he will be if/when he comes back. Drew, Coco, Pedroia, Lowell, and Youks are all that are hitting. That's not horrendous, but without the huge, hot home run hitter can they win in the playoffs? It's a tough situation, they could use more pop out of left field, although Jacoby got three hits today it seems like a month of 1 for fives with no steal lately. But if they sit him they retard his growth, There is simply no option for Tek who has beem horrible with the stick since May, I'm not sure where the tipping point is between intangibles, pitch calling, and toughness and virtually no offensive prodution. If Manny isn't being Manny he kills us in the middle of the lineup especially with no Big Papi. That being said, they are much better off than the Yankees.
  7. Thank You. 1 pitch, 2 outs.
  8. Not much, in comes Javy.
  9. Ellsbury is amazing.
  10. I'm stuck watching YES and I think Suzyn Waldman just broke my TV.
  11. Get some runs here, please.
  12. haha girardi reporter: i bet the 4.5 million fans who go to the game [care] ... girardi: it's between my team and ME!
  13. I never thought I'd be this excited to leave the Trop and go to Yankee Stadium for a 4 game set.
  14. Here it says he could return to the rotation as early as Saturday vs the Yankees. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2008/07/02/buchholz_appears_ready_to_return_to_big_club/
