True White Sox fans are thinking to themselves oh crap, we scored all the runs we were going to score for the series in the first game. Red Sox in 4. Now it's crap, we scored 5 more runs, we can't possibly score anymore, it's Red Sox in 5. They might not post it, but it's being thought. 88 years of futility will do that to you.

The other part of the equation is the team had a 15 game lead and no killer instinct. At some point they were crusing thinking nothing could go wrong. If Cleveland isn't the hottest team in baseball for 6 or 7 weeks, it's a non issue.

The White Sox get more love here than in any of the national media. I guess it shows where intelligent fans hang out.

But White and Red Sox fans can agree that Nomar is a washed up cancer on any team. It was so fun to see Cub fans dancing with joy that the Cubs got Nomore.

If I explained to everyone here what a classless, low life, cheating, wife beating, mega maniac, egotistic, bastard Sammy Sosa is, how many would agree? He has done nothing but brought disgrace and shame upon the city of Chicago specifically and baseball in general. Between hitting his wife with a Rum bottle and getting caught, finally, with a corked bat. Escaping the drug police somehow when we all know he is so juiced up on steroids he should be a poster boy. Would anyone here think I was being a bit over the top? Such is the feeling White Sox fans have for the players on the North Side. From an outsider, that is how you sound regarding A-Rod. Would you compare that play to being off-sides in football or corking a bat in baseball? Offsides in hockey or steroids? Compare that play to something else in sports??

There is plenty of blame to go around in the Yankee clubhouse but I would not let it overshadow the great play on the part of the Red Sox. You have to give the pitchers some credit, above average fielding, etc. This series was as much won by the Red Sox as it was lost by the Yankees. One last thought on A-Rod, this wasn't premeditated like corking a bat or scuffing a ball. I don't see it any worse than an offsides in football.

Search the other baseball boards, Red Sox fans seem to be in the minority regarding that play. Could it be the rivalry is clouding your vision?

Come on. The rest of the country has been easy on A-Rod. It's a stupid rule that allows a player to tackle the catcher, but not lift their hands. It was a split second decision, arguably a reflex. To label him as classless is showing some blind loyalty to one team. If it was a Red Sox player y'all would agree. Remember, he wanted to be a Red Sox so much he agreed to cut his contract, it was MLB and the player's union that blocked the deal. You'd love him in a Red Sox uniform.

I don't really hate the Yankees, as long as the White Sox stay out of the AL East. Y'all can deal with the Evil Empire every season. Great game tonight. All the momentum going your way, you have to feel good. Nice board. looks a lot like soxtalk.com BTW, another thank you. Being a White Sox fan, I of course hate the Cubs with the same passion you have for the Yankmees. Watching them fold after getting Nomar was priceless. And enjoy Foulke, we received Billy "Botch" Koch in that trade from Oakland.

White Sox fan here, pulling for the Red Sox and y'all are killing me every night. Did you like the ex-White Sox pitchers? Flash Gordon gives up the tying run and Estaban Loiza gives up the game loser I believe the rest of the American League is all pulling for the Red Sox. :thumbsup:

My primary favorite team is the White Sox but can sympathize with y'all. Y'all have the Yankmees, we just lose. ANd occassionaly have to put up with the ScRubs winning. With the Pale Hose out of it, I'm pulling for the Red Sox and all Texas teams. Go Sox. and talksox is a nice name, so close to another site
